Introduction / My story

hello all, i've just discovered this site and i cant begin to describe how happy i am to have come across it.

i stumbled across this site purely by accident...seriously i was looking at arkham city walkthoughs and a few jumps later i end up here.

i though it was a legit society page at first and thought 'what the hell, this will be good for a laugh', but after reading a few posts well...i couldnt stop reading.

I made it!! I'm just so freaking happy!!!

as some of you know, i started college 5 years ago for the first time at age 27. i had been out of the "truth" for 9 years at that time, but had just broken free of the mentality.

well, on saturday i walked across the stage with the 130th graduating class at rocky mountain college!.

after 5 years of working several jobs, taking care of two little boys as a single mom, and trying to get the most out of my college experience, i earned my master of accountancy, bachelor of science in business management, and minors in writing and organizational leadership.

Life After Escape!

so it has been about a year and a half since i left the jw's, it has been a long hard road but my life is finally great!

i have actually had several recent magor changes in my life but i feel the peace in which i have been searching for.

i just spent a month with my mom which was nice even though it didn't go as planned it was good to get to know her a little better.. i actually just moved back to the town i left so that i could be with my mom who is the only family i have left that excepts me.

i think the boys at watchtower hq found a way around that rule.

they have learned how to destroy the natural affection of those doing the shunning and those being shunned.. .

Being angry and resentful is totally justified . . . and completely natural. Don't feel bad about feeling the burn.

Just be smart about how you express it. Having a damn good and productive life in spite of it all, is a great way to direct that energy. Concentrate on the things you can control and forget those things you can't. We all reap what we sow, including them . . . just plant carefully from here on, it's all you can do.

it's beginning to annoy me when people send me text messages and e-mails of this sort.

it's even more annoying when it comes from people who i primarily associated with while i was still active, but who i haven't heard a word from since i quit going to meetings a couple months ago.

most of these people live less than five minutes from me and would be welcome at my house anytime.

Victorian State Government announces inquiry into sexual abuse among religious organisations

the victorian premier, ted baillieu and attorney-general robert clark made the announcement at parliament house at 1.15pm yesterday.. some would prefer a royal inquiry (see article), but either way, things could get uncomfortable in wt world down the track.. an inquiry was one of the key recommendations of an earlier inquiry into child protection by retired judge phillip cummins.. this was the same inquiry steven unthank made submission to in person, which was fairly well received.

the efforts many others have gone to in order to add weight will surely have also contributed.
