New Light @ The 2011 District Convention
by dontplaceliterature in" at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.
my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?
" represents, or some other fangled idea.

Jehovahs Witness Suicides

one sister i knew a few yrs back, in her early 40's, was having marriage problems in the hall for yrs and everyone knew it.
they only told her to rely on jehovah and asked the elders for guidance.

I went through a terrible phase of depression and suicidal thoughts and went to see a doctor, specialized in mental health.
She was a lovely, caring older lady and in one of the visits, she asked me why so many witnesses where having problems
with depressions, if I could explain to her if there was something that would worry us as a group. I was an elder at that time,
and thought she had "something against us", but as it seems she was worried and wanted to help, but could not understand
why some many witnesses started visiting her. I later found out that her name/address was being "forwarded" recommended,
"under the table" from one witness to the other. She was visited by bethelites, and some "higher ups"....I will not tell her name :-P
as she is somewhat "famous" among some witnesses...This smacked me in the head! I never had depressions before I entered
the borg, and they are blown away since ever I faded (inactive)....my good luck and life happiness ARE FULLY RESTORED! Now, my
mother says that whoever leaves jehober and the WT$ becomes sick, dark, dead whatever s%$#& they can come up with. I tell her
its not true - look at me, but she says "exceptions don't count", the "majority" will basically kill themselves and become drug lords.

The Society has tried to cover their asses on this without looking like they're whining.
I think the only ones who really make an issue out of this anymore are those of us who notice the inconsistencies and the illogic of it all. Dubs still in and believing don't even notice.
I went to the Memorial this year and last. Last year they announced 10,000+ partook the previous year. This year they announced that 11,000+ partook last year. Unless I was sitting in a Poker Stars tournament and the place was full of poker faces, no one flinched, raised an eyebrow or looked puzzled. Odds are, they weren't really paying attention. The WTS is counting on that zombification and the twisting around the meaning of their doctrines to allow for an increase for the rare occasion when someone actually notices the number going up.

For some time you could go along and think that this must be the coolest government in history...at the final days of war, it was clear that this was some shitty way to run a country and that these men where evil....and YET many closed their eyes, fantasized about a "coming back" and gave even MORE effort to the running war cause...unbelievable, but true.

setting is obviously in the "new system", i'd say quite some time after the big a. everything looks neat and clean, so it can't be just few months or even years after the big slaughter.. let me point out few things that made me laugh:.
every effort was made to depict natural materials, but you see leather straps with metal rivets holding the picnic basket lids.

A possible solution to this dilemma would be to "castrate" everybody and a Watchtower comes out saying that there is new brighter light, explaining this away (something like: the sexual organs where only a temporary solution under the covenant of law to fullfil the prophecy of Jeremiah that states that the former things are gone. Once the earth was filled with humans, so that Jesus could save the most of them, there was no more reason to multiply humans. You get to use your organs to pee into the light to create beautiful rainbows that remind you that god is good and you should be thankful to be able to relieve your bladder, because billions of other humans are dead and don't have this privilege anymore...

Hi evilone,
I was an elder for 15 years...(PO, Secretary, TMS, ....). Good help here. I did the same thing....moved to a congregation outside of "my territory", told them that I was doing this to be sure not to miss attendance (because of my job)...they "bought into it", asked my old congregation for the cards...I started missing meetings shortly after that...since my house is not close to the congos territory they don't give a rats ass about my whereabouts. Whenever I meet someone, and they ask where I have been, my standart answer ist: "Oh, I have to care for my elderly parents, you see biblical responsability make my life soo difficult, so I have to attend meetings at their hall..." With this, I get all the love I will ever need and they can't check where the hell I am attending...
...doing this for the same reasons as you: family, my wife is mor "into it" than me.....
....you see, JW are strictly "rule based" followers....if you break the "standard rules" (attending where you live, etc.) it throws them off...
Oh, another point: YES, REALLY choose a hall that is cold AND big....the elders will not chase you. They don't have time and they have not bonded with you. Seems like the perfect plan. Enjoy.
