It's not even a matter of bigger is better, this in itself is an erroneous view but then it has specific stipulations that make the size and scope ironically irrelevant. So it can't just be "we are the biggest organization doing this" becuase there are much bigger organizations doing a much more thorough job, so it has to be "well those organizations are false religion" which makes the previous statement meaningless. If every other religion is false religion, then the true religion could be six guys in their back yard and they would be fulfilling Mt 24:14 better than any other religion. Making their view of Mt 24:14 tautilogical at best.

What apostates fail to recognize is...
by nananana inyou can cut & paste all the excerpts from articles you want...you can leak all the boe letters, you can pretend to be witnesses and come to the conventions and meetings...but.
no other organization can begin to rival the success and magnitude of the prophecy found in mt 24:14. so apostates....don't waste your time spending countless hours digging up articles and reading books to convince yourself to turn away from jh's organization.
no matter what "evidence" you find you cannot ignore the obvious fulfillment of matthew 24:14.. .

Seventh Day Adventists are doing better, so are mormons. Catholics are absolutely kicking JWs ass. If you say they are preaching lies, the society has spent it's entire history preaching things that it would consider heinous apostacy now, and whatever you believe at this moment will be considered an apostate view in ten years time.
Think about this for a second. If the society teaches something that isn't found in the bible, but claim that it is found in the bible, then does that make them liars or pharisees or a false religion? No, it's just Jehovah gradually revealing the truth, and if it changes later then it is new light. If the seventh day adventists (who share many of the witness beliefs and have a similar origin) teach things that aren't found in the bible, but claim it is, what does that make them? False religion. If both of you are preaching things that aren't found in the bible, and then both of you change the teachings to reflect new understanding, and both of you have love and fellowship amongst yourselves, and both of you are preaching the message of god's kingdom through out all of the earth (and last I checked, they were winning on this front,) why is it that they are wicked and satanic, and you are the only one standing for truth (that is subject to change with the release of every new watchtower magazine?)
Don't you find it odd how much hate and venom your organization has for the world, and for anyone who disagrees with them? Doesn't that tell you something?
Use logic and reason, don't just regurgitate platitudes that the society taught you.

Go to college. I am about to finish my second semester working on a double Major in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering. I am 27 and I wish I had done this when I was younger. I'd have a graduate degree and a professional engineering liscense and have an awesome job. I'm working towards that now, but it feels like such a waste all those years cleaning windows, and the next several years of working retail so I can get the schedule I need to go to college as an adult with a mortgage. Just go now, you won't regret it.

IS GOD REAL? HOW DO YOU KNOW?
by still thinking inthis is an honest question on my part.
someone on this board asked me 'how do you know' a while ago and i really struggled with it.
in fact, it was a turning point for me.

But all of the examples you mention are people that knew of christianity first. Nobody ever seems to have the revelation of christ without first being exposed to the religious aspects and doctrines of christianity. Revelation only comes from culture, not the divine.

A philosophical or theological question to throw to the audience.
So a great many here believe in revelation over the bible itself. The bible isn't God's word, it's man's interpretation of god's word. BUT none the less, it's true about sin and Jesus and his ressurection, ect. That is to say, while the bible isn't the "truth" persay, Christianity is the truth. Not necessarily the organized religion aspect of it (though some say it is) but the whole deal with accepting Jesus, and Jesus loves you, and Jesus enters into your heart, and it's all about a relationship with Jesus, and evidence isn't necessary, and it's actually naive to ask for evidence because Jesus reveals himself to those that will recieve him. It's about personal revelation, rather than reasoning with an individual or providing evidence of the truth of christianity. And that the religions of history have spent most of their time preaching things that aren't really necessarily true or accurate, and were often politically and culturally motivated and frequently completely misrepresented Jesus and his message. This seems to be a common theme among alot of christians here. This belief in the personal jesus found in one's own revelation, over the religious jesus taught from the pulpit.
So here is the question. Why have we never found, nor ever find, independent groups who have had revelations of Jesus without first having been culturally exposed to christianity? If it isn't about individuals being convinced by evidence or reason, but by Jesus communicating with the individual, why is it that christianity is only spread through missionary work or by force, and never just spontaneously appearing in remote parts of the world? Why didn't we ever go to some remote area of Papua New Guinea and find remote tribes that had already known Jesus because they had had a relationship with him for centuries, rather than dispirate tribal religions based on animal deities and the like? Why is it this revelation only spreads through culture and is geographically predictable? In India they had Hindu revelations devoid of christ, in China they had their own communion with spirits and the dead but never a Semitic diety telling them of original sin brought about by a serpent in eden. Why didn't aboriginal tribes have the revelation of Christ's love on their own?
Essentially why does the spread of christianity look exactly like one would expect a culturally motivated meme to spread and not like a divine revelation given to all of humanity? Why does christianity seem completely unremarkable to anybody that isn't already culturally indocrinated to find it remarkable? Why does mythic revelation that is built into the soul of man propogate only through false prophets and greedy pharisees travelling the world looking for new markets? Why did Jesus ignore China, the largest nation on the planet, for almost all of human history? Why did he only start to communicate with them once merchants and politically motivated missionaries started preaching false messages about him to the Chinese? Shouldn't this raise a flag or two in the mind of the believer?

Romney is actually not winning the "male" vote.
It's gone back and forth, and currently obama is again edging out Romney in the Male vote by a couple of percentage points. It's not statistically significant, but saying that Romney has the male vote in the bag is a gross overstatement.

Damn, I am glad I don't live in a place with property value like that. I have a three bedroom, two bath house with a two car garage in a nice neighborhood and it doesn't cost me half of what a studio apartment goes for.

There is no "cure" for cancer. Cancer is not a thing, it is a classification of a cellular disorder. Saying "we have a cure for cancer" is like saying "we have a cure for virus." Really? Which virus? Or just "virus"? There are countless kinds of cancer and just as many causes. When biologists and doctors do research, they don't try to "cure cancer" (that is just a good line to give the public), rather they are trying to find ways to successfully treat specific kinds of cancer in specific areas of the body that don't kill the person they are treating.
So, sure. Yeah, we found a "cure" for virus, and a "cure" for cancer and a "cure" for death too. But big pharma just covered them all up. Don't let people tell you that all conspiracy theorists are conservative nut jobs. There exist liberal conspiracy theories too, and this is one of them.

"Marked" means that they aren't taking action against you, but that you are considered questionable association that should be kept away from those that may be swayed by your actions into doing what you do. Depending on how seriously they view it, they may give a "marking talk" as the next local needs where they speak out against what you are doing, without naming you by name. You will probably also be strongly councelled privately.
College encourages critical thinking and considering mulitple viewpoints outside of your own, it also teaches how to give respect to views that clash with your own, and teaches you to challenge your own ideas, as well as how to properly do research. There is no greater threat to autocratic rulership than open minds and eyes. They fear college because you will learn how they are manipulating you. They are reacting against that.
