I can understand your anger I feel the same way, but I don't think it's a bad thing. I think the anger is what is motivating me to move on and out of the organization. Let the anger move you in a positive direction. It won't happen overnight due to family involved but I know it will happen. My biggest fear is that I won't be able to get my son out, he is 17 and although I've shared some things with him, he feels angry with me for questioning the "Truth".

Getting past the anger
by Stealth ini am looking for some assistance or resources on anger mangement.. i have known the truth about the truth for about a year now.. due to reasons of family i don't beleive i can make a 100% break at this time.. i seem to have a major problem getting past the anger.
i am not an angry person by nature and in the past when i have gotten angry it never lasted very long.. at times i feel that the reason i can't get past the anger is because i have not made a complete break.
i don't know if this is true since i see many here who have made the break and the anger persists.. if there is anyone here who has experienced this and has found a way to move past the intense feelings of anger without completly breaking from the borg due to family reasons and can offer some advice i would welcome it.. is it possible to get past the anger with one foot still in?

I think I've had doubts for a long time especially after they changed the generation thing. But reading Ray's books just cement what I already thought, making it not just my thought but facts. It is giving me the courage to try to make the right changes.

Explorer and Youknow. I have a couple of questions. If you feel it is the truth beyond a reasonable doubt than why are you reading this web site? Not that not I'm glad you are. How can you think that Jehovah would use an organization that does the things (Protecting pedophiles, UN, constant changing of doctrine) that JW org does. Jehovah never changes, why would he give his organization the wrong information, have them publish it teach to millions of his people, only to then change it later on. Don't you think he would make sure they got it right the first time! And he would never allow children to be abused and I repeat that NEVER.

Will you go to the memorial
by freeborg ini have never missed a memorial in 20 years of being a jw, but this year will be the first one i miss because i refuse to set foot in any kingdom hall.
i was wondering how many that post here will attend the memorial and if so why?.
do you feel pressured into going by family or friends?.

What church do you go to. Just wondering so maybe I could go there and partake. I'm chicken to partake at the memorial. I have to attend for my kids sake and I couldn't partake and embarrass them. I'm not ready to get df'd or dA myself.

I will go because it is a command that we memorialize Jesus' death. My only problem is I feel that I need to partake, not just sit there. I've kind of always felt the desire to partake and now after doing alot of my own personal bible study (which the society says we should do) I am sure I should show my faith by partaking of the emblems. I'm not sure what would happen if I partook. They might df'd me. In fact I'm sure they would. Maybe I'll partake at home and then go to the memorial. Any suggestions!?

It's really important to educate the public and or JW's. Web-sites are great but I think it is really important not to get too judgemental and be careful not to say really crude things. Just stating the facts will be enough. If you start saying really crude things it just turns people off to a web-site. I know myself when I see really disgusting post I just pass over them. It is really not a christian way of acting and or speaking. People that are witnessess or people associating with witness are usually people that are really turned off by things like that. Red Flags go up and they are not going to listen.

Part 4: The Last KM School
by Amazing inpart 4: the last km school .
the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.
it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.

Hard To Keep Silent
by Frenchy inwas visiting this week and in his talk he got on the subject of movies.
he began by admitting that he was not familiar with the rating code but that it was wrong for a christian to see an r rated movie.
he stayed at least five minutes on the subject.. afterwards there was the usual, abbreviated wt study and i found paragraph four particularly interesting:.

Our CO was here this last week too. You are right I find a direct corelation to the pharisees and the org. They make man made commands and put extra stress on us just like they did back then.
