I'm really happy to see that there isn't much growth in the world. I hope this is a trend that may continue. I hope to see a negative growth soon......ah but would they publish that. How many people here lied on there time and bible studies etc, when they were in? Do you think these reports are accurate. I know I use to make up numbers especially near the last two or three years.

I looked up their beliefs on their web-site. I didn't agree with their beliefs. If it suits you go for it. I go to a Non-Denominational Christian church, when I go. I'm not that regular maybe once a month or so. I would probably go more often, if I could get my husband or kids to go with me. It's kind of lonely by yourself, there is noone to talk about after....like what did you think about this or that etc.

Question on Rom 6:23
by _Atlas in"for the wages sin pays is death, but the gift god gives is everlasting life?".
rom 6:23.
for years we been taught that we die because of sin and once you die you have paid your "debt" .

The wages sin pays is death. This has nothing to do with dying being the payment for sin. What this scripture means is that if you sin your payment is death. Now if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, your debt is paid and all your sins are forgiven. So if you have not accepted Christ and you sin ..... your payment will be death. THe Watchtower has this all twisted up. As with just about everything they teach. This is my interpretation on this. Take it or leave it

HELP!! Trying to find right religion brough up as JW
by emmamess22 ini was raised as an on again off again (when convenient for flighty mom) jw.
i have recently decided due to the birth of a daughter that it was time to get it together and decide what to do with myself spiritually as she was going to church with her baptisit dad and i felt awful.
so, i've been using the reasoning book and reading the bible and trying to decide what's right.. spent hours looking at christmas online....saw it was traced to pagan celebrations and decided not to do it.

What you need to do is start reading the bible. Not the poorly and inaccurate New World Translation. Just about any other will do. When I was opeining my eyes and leaving. I bought myself a good NIV (New International Version) I Also bought myself an Interlinear Old and New Testament these can be expensive. I bought mine on line. I started with the New Testament. The Rapture makes a lot more sense then Jesus invisibly coming in 1914. You will be shocked to realize that Jesus really is Lord according to the New Testament. That Abraham was looking forward to his heavenly reward, not an earthly one. And really there is no such thing as a heavenly and eartly class. What Jesus was talking about when he said sheep that were not of this fold was simply that initially those that accepted him were the Jews and the other sheep were the gentiles. Get yourself a good bible! Pray alot and find yorself a good non-denominational Christian Church. There is no need to feel guilty, your are praising the LORD!!!!! It doesn't matter where you do it. Which building you choose to do it in, just do it

My thoughts and prayers go out to you. You know what happened to you is the made up example that I told people after I left. I would explain why the Organization changing their stand on the blood is such a huge deal. It was one of the things that opened mine and my son's eyes to leave. It is so hard when you leave behind family especially children. Truly my heart does ache for you. I'm so glad to see you haven't lost your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, which is where our faith should have been all along, not in an organization. lv4fer

what is the weirdest counsel you ever received?
by nb-dfed inmy husband and i had a committee meeting because of underage drinking.
when he was being counseled, the p.o.
told my husband that he needed to make me wear different clothes to the meeting because it made some of the brothers unable to concentrate.

When I was talking to the elders and questioning some of the JW beliefs and I had puzzled them, the one elder responded, "You know what your problem is, you think too much". So that is my downfall and why I left the JW's. I think too much!

Yes, I'm a Christian and proud of it! I'm so glad to be out of the JW's, but I can't help but wonder why god let me be sucked into it. I'm sure there is a reason. OR maybe I was just stupid and my brain went numb for 15 or so years! I have so many regrets. I lost years of fellowship with my family who I distanced myself with while I was in. I can only say I'm so happy I'm out now.
