I read this book yesterday, yes in one sitting. It was so good, I couldn't put it down. It's about a guy who dies and goes to heaven and then is alive 90 minutes later. I recommend it very much.

No, the Rapture is not Armageddon. The rapture is when all Christians living at the time Jesus comes are taken up to be with him. All others will be left behind (Hence the book series "Left Behind"). In order to be raptured you must be saved (this means accepting Jesus Christ as your savior) Armageddon will happen after the great tribulation. Some people who believe in the rapture think it will occur just prior to the great tribuilation, others think it will happen in the middle of it and still others at the end. Most people think it will happen prior to it. I have studied the scriptures about this and read several different books on the various teachings. I honestly think it will happen prior to the great tribulation.

6 months ago i was d'fd and i am right now confused as to what i want to do cuse i can put my letter in for reinstatement now but i just dont know if that would be the best desicion for me.

one side of me says go back to the jw org and do all that i can in the org so that i can make it to the paradise.

but then one side says just do what u want to do til u die.

You need to do some serious research. Don't rush yourself. You CAN read publications not put out by the Watchtower how do you think they get their information that they publish in the the magazines someone had to read the OTHER publications. The reason they say you can't is its part of their control. If you read other publications besides theirs your eyes may be open. You can also start by reading the bible yourself. It seems like a daunting task, but if you just read the New Testament alone (preferrably a different version then the NWT, I personally like the NIV version) The truth will be apparant to you. That is what opened my eyes I started reading the bible and realized they really weren't teaching the bible, they take things out of context and twist meanings. When I was having doubts the elders came to my house to try and encourage me. I had questions about different teachings and questioned them using the bible, after two hours one of the elders told me and I quote "You know what your problem is, you think too much" So take your time, do some research and reading. There is no need to rush. I will pray for you and may you find the true peace of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. It is truly amazing!

People with multiple sex partners in their past, present and future?

what i have wondered, is how true were the witnesses about the psychological affect of having multiple sex partners in our lives?

i remember reading, and hearing in talks, that people who have turned themselves into the type of person who engages in indiscriminate sex, will suffer depression, problems in relationships and illnesses related to such a life style.

this line of fear was often drawn, to make a young person in the congregation fear the idea of having sex out of wedlock, and perhaps be enough to control the extreme drive of their hormones in early years.

I think sex betwen to people who really care for eachother is best. When two people have sex there is always the chance a child will be created, having said that it is best a child is brought into a loving relationship between two people. If you are having sex with whoever whenever that it is not a good situation for a child to be brought into. I also dont understand wanting to be that intimate with a person I hardly know

Do you really believe the numbers? They can alter them any way they like and when people turn in their numbers they can lie. I know I use to make up numbers all the time when I turned them in. Especially towards the last couple of years I was in.

Who Will Be Celebrating Thanksgiving & XMas This Year???

funny thing about jws----many celebrate thanksgiving but say they're only eating turkey with all the fixings by coincidence.

god made the food to be consumed everyday.

then you get witnesses who celebrate christmas the day before or after with all sorts of presents but they won't give it on the 25th because that day is pagan.

How would you describe yourself since leaving the borg?

for me i found myself more involved politically and in community and business affairs.

not as cynical as i once was and not as judgemental as when i was a jw.

also more empathetic about people and finally able to see some beauty in the world.

The old Beverly is back. That may be good or it may be bad. I'm definitely happier and much more at ease.
