I think mine did. When I got baptized in my mind I was accepting Jesus and God as my Savior. I talked to one of the pastors at the church I attend and he said that It was up to me if I felt the need to get baptized again. That if it would make me feel better than I could, but that as long as you were fully immersed and that in your heart and mind you were accepting Jesus than that was fine.

Who are following Jesus' and the Apostles' teachings today...?
by Justahuman24 inplease, this question is for those who are christians and believe in the bible.
no need for those who are not christians, don't believe in the bible or mock religion/the bible/god/jesus to respond, especially if the response is going to be nasty or offensive.
what christian group do you guys think is following in the footsteps of jesus and the apostles?

I don't think any one religion has it all right. I really don't think it matters what one you belong to or if you belong to one at all. I go to a Non-Denominational Christian church. I go when I feel like it. I think if you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your Savior you are saved. That is all that matters. Whether or not you go to the Lutheran Church or the Baptist one I really don't think it matters. It is all about a personal relationship with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

How's your recovery from the WTS coming along?
by Frannie Banannie ini came on this forum a few years ago, already hyped up from online xjw chat groups and the h2o forum and raring to kick some jdubya butt.
then i began to calm down and i began to reach out to the newbies coming to this forum, helping (hopefully) where i could.
after a while the subject of jdubya-ism began to sour on my brain and i began absenteeism from jwd at times, but i always come back.

I would say I am healed and come to this site to read about other's journey and to give hope and encouragement to those finding their way out. I am so grateful to those who have helped me in my journey and want to help others. They need to know they are not alone. I also think it is important for those leaving to have a Christian's perspective because they are many on this board who have lost their belief in God altogether.

Do you belive you are anointed?
by unbaptized inif you believe you are anointed, please give the details on how you came to this conclusion.
this is not a judgemental post, so all those with negative comments please keep them to yourself.
this is a quest for facts and answers, nothing more.

I'm not sure what you mean annointed. I believe I'm going to heaven just like anyone else who believes in Jesus Christ and accepts him as their savior. Sounds like you are still clinging to old BS from the WT to me.

Are You Afraid To Die?
by avidbiblereader innot the kind of death, but actually dying?
not trying to be morbid, but for now, it is a part of life.. abr.

No, not at all. Not that I want to die, but if it happens tommorrow, I am ready. I have no fear, I know I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that have accepted him as my savior. I would like to see my children who are now young adults to become parents and have grandchildren but if I don't get to see them I'm OK with that.

What message would you like to say to anyone studying with the JW's?
by JH ini'd say, beware, once you'll be baptized they won't treat you the same way.
they will expect a lot from you, and you'll never be free again to say what you think about the religon or even think for yourself.
they will control your life completely.

RUN FOREST RUN (lol) That is the truth! I would tell them to look seriously to the internet and research research research. Don't listen to them when they say that you can't read material published from another source other then them. Spend a few weeks/months checking out boards like this, if you still want to become one well then you've been fore-warned and you are probably too stupid to live.

If you were a JW or for you JW Lurkers who will never leave.....
by A-Team inif the rapture ever did happened, and you were left behind.
what do you think your reaction would be, and what do you think teh watchtower reaction be?

I would hope that they would wake up and smell the coffee if they weren't raptured. I'm not sure whether they will be raptured or not. They really don't accept Jesus as they savior. They kind of do in a round about way. I would like to think that some of them will be but I don't know. Some of them are really sincere people and really want to do whats right. I will live it in the Lords hands and I know he will do the right thing.
