and it was really neat!
it felt a little strange, though.
technically, i guess this isn't my first birthday present because big tex left me a dozen roses on my car the first year we met, on the eve of my birthday (with a note that read "to my favorite middle-aged pioneer" - i married him anyway).

i received and email a couple of weeks ago that there was going to be a sort of impromptu reunion the night after thanksgiving.
last year i got the same notice, but was out of town so i couldn't attend.
thought about it for awhile and decided i was going to make myself go this year.

Scoots,
Have you ever noticed that when your posts are apart and your pictures are apart, you still don't look like sisters?????

things i saw as a jw:.
* the "f" word spelled out on the information board in the back of the hall.
the person used the tacks used for posting letters and talks and spelled out the expletive.
Funch,
I was going to reply to this post, however, I too am offended by your use of the word "Nipple" and therefore, in good conscience, cannot!

i have notice alot of new people here recently and i am curious as to how you found this site.interested in how some of you "old timers" found it also.
last may or june i was checking out some chat rooms and for some reason (i always thought how boring) i went into the religion section and saw a chat room title jehovah witness recovery room.
i was very curious as to what was going on in there (did a bus load of jw get in a crash and now they are recovering??
I was checking out the H2O board when someone referenced this site. I checked it out and thought it interesting.
mac
..after you were baptised, and how did you feel?.
i went for a swim, having got baptised at orchard beach, new york.
i was disappointed that i didn't feel any sort of warm glow.. when my dad was baptised, it was at epsom circuit assembly, london.
Popped out of the water, looked heavenward and silently said these words: "Oh, shit, Mac, now look what you've done!!!!!!!!!"
mac, of the really only wanted to cool off class
P.S. Had my fingers crossed when they dunked me, so I don't really think it counted
.
i was reading a post that reminded me of the songs that were popular but was wrong to listen to for various reasons.. we all remember puff the magic dragon being about drugs, which i hear was just a rumour.. another i remember was let it be by the beatles, which was " catholic based about mary the mother of jesus" when apparently it was written about paul mccartney's own mother.
shows what they know.. which songs do you remember that were "bad" that we were not supposed to listen to?
Come Together...........Beatles

i thought that the best team in the nfl deserved their own thread.
actually, i am not a huge football fan.
i do not watch much sports at all.
XW,
Point well taken, I,m taking down the fondue pot as we speak!
P.S. Yer not fat, and even if you were, I'd not dare tell you! I saw the size of that sword you were wielding!
mac, of the wants to remain intact class
i am sitting here listening to my kazaa, finding old songs that i had forgotten i even knew at one time.
music to me has always been an outlet for expression, even thou the words and music belong to someone eles.
it can help me to work thru my emotions in ways like no other .
Ah, life without music........a somber image indeed, one that I care to not even entertain. Music for me has been a landmark leading me back to places and people I have loved. It has inspired me, made me laugh, brought forth tears and it has been as medicine when my soul was sick. To think of life without it is incomprehensible. For me, it has been an ethereal vehicle carrying me through lifes journeys and will continue to define future paths I choose to tread.
Does it fill a need, Lyin'? You betcha'!
