What a crap day..... just got back from my sisters who's husbands mother has died this morning in hospital following a major heart attack. She wasn't directly related to me, but the loss feels as great as if she was. She was a game old bird, devoutly Catholic, and always liked to have a good natter about all and everything.She was half blind, diabetic and had heart failure, yet still she managed to beat us all at "Scrabble" at the last family get together. I felt so sad watching Reg (her husband) today, he looked so totally and utterly lost amongst all the family that were milling about, its just so sad. Everytime I used to see her she used to say "Hello my son" in a deep indian accent that used to make me laugh. I'll miss her like hell.

by ScoobySnax in"give god glory" is the theme for the 2003 conventions.......so who here is gonna be coming with me?.....form a queue now, i know there must be many here who want to attend.....if anyones going to twickenham in london, i can maybe help out with a lift in my car.
if you are and continue to remain apostate, i will just drop you off outside the convention grounds where you can continue to make that silly spectacle of yourselves with flipcharts etc...... this offer is open to all of course...

My Story
by mattnoel inok so chevy asked me to put my story on here, a lot of you will probably find it boring but will post it anyway.
am now 24 and live in kent, england with my boyfriend dean, we are really happy together in fact i have never been so happy and we plan to marry later on this year.
i was brought up a jw from a baby by my mother, my father was never really bothered about it all and my mum fell away, divorced him and married another guy and then went back to the witnesses, he was not a witness and they met at my mums place of work, she was a dj for a local radio station and he was a chauffeur.

Lovesdubs....... You can be patronising if it suits you, but I still think on the whole, and in my experience JWs as a group are decent people. As a nurse I meet thousands of people year in year out, so I do get to see a little of how people act and behave, and even if you rubbish my observations, know that it remains just your opinion and not mine.

LyingEyes...... Sorry to hear about these awful episodes you have, they really are a nightmare to have to deal with, and difficult to explain to those who don't or have never had them..... My Panic attacks are alot better now, I read some really good books by a DR. Claire Weekes....you wouldn't believe how much her books helped, so try and find some stuff that she has wrote. With what you said about dreams and stuff, I sometimes get that feeling just as you're dropping off and you feel like you've fallen off something...that always wakes me up fast with a racing heart! Anyway, hope you find some peace soon. Scott
