Just interested to know.....do any here suffer from "Panic Attacks" or have done so in the past? Just interested to know. If so, how did you/do you deal with them....? I've only been having them on and off since 1999 (a particularly bad year in my life!) but I can remember hearing of people who had them and thinking that they just had to "pull themselves together" or "get a grip".....how wrong I was. On the whole now I'm ok, if I start to feel edgy at all, I have to remember to breathe deeply and focus on something else. Occasionally I have a real bad one, with feelings like you're gonna die or something, I hate those times so much, and I pray to Jehovah to help me, which is a bit selfish as its the only time I do pray. I suppose I'm lucky in the sense that my mum used to suffer from them and so am able to have someone whom I love, to talk to, that always helps. So, back to the original question...Do you suffer with Panic Attacks?

Derrick, I posted in a similar vein (no pun intended) on the blood forum here just recently, and mostly met with the same, if the witnesses sit back and do nothing they are murderers, if they try to do something and work with emerging technology (as in the blood cell saver machine), they are still in many peoples minds here, not just murderers, but "in it for themselves" murderers /publicity seekers/trying to cover the asses....etc etc You are asking the impossible to expect most here to give the Witnesses any sort of recognition as far as positive is concerned, only the negative will do. Everyone Welcome says the banner from this site, yes you are, but ONLY if you follow the line, and you get the drift surely by now what that line is. It is their site after all.

MAJOR HEADACHE!!

i've got the mother of all headaches thats lasted for a few days now.....you know the type of one that makes you think brain tumour/meningitis/encephalitis/ i'm about to have a stroke, what if i die in the night and they find me 2 days later etc etc........reckon it must be stress.
why do i always think the worse when i get something like this?...it always gives rise to feelings of panic/anxiety and they are the worst feelings ever.

you only live once right **grin**.. i am from sydney australia - was brought up as a jw and have been disfellowshipped once...when i was 21 yo currently 29. i only came back in because i am terrified of armageddon.....living in fear is not good for the mind!!.
does anyone else understand this fear???

Hmmmm..........maybe you came back for the wrong reasons.....being "terrified of Armageddon" wouldn't be one of mine, if you think its all crap like most do here on this forum, then be prepared to hear that. Sounds like you have doubts about the JWs though, if so, again many here are ex-JWs and will be more than happy to "help you out"........however, you are right living in fear is not a good reason for staying in.....maybe you have more to tell..........Welcome anyway!!!

JW/HLC visit to our hospital
by ScoobySnax inyesterday jehovahs witnesses and the hospital liason committee visited our hospital to donate a blood cell saver machine which had been funded by the local congregations in our county of kent in england.
a buffet lunch was provided, along with 4 talks to a large audience of surgical and medical consultants, anaetheologists, paedatricians, and obstetraticians (sp!
) about the future of blood and the transfusion of such products.

You are well entitled to your opinion outnfree, and if you so want you can question the WT "motives" for donating such a machine despite that it benefits the community also. However, please research these "new technologies" and understand that and understand on a purely financial basis they actually save money. The average cost of 1 unit of whole blood costs the NHS approx. 120 per unit, blood cell saver machines when used in theatres and in appropriate trauma cases eleminate that cost.......just a thought for you.

(as you say) You know what, you are a prime example of what I do say though, the minute you get a whiff of dissention, BANG!, out comes the same old stuff, ridicule, aggression, a superiority complex (we are nothing like the hall !!!) etc......Now tell me this, before I get "blasted out of the water"......what is the difference between that awful mindset you left and the one you are in now??
