What was the most profound spiritual moment of your life?
by cluless inmine was simply the realisation that if a person had faith they wouldnt need a religon.. infact not associating with any religouse association is a bit like being on the oceon in a rowing boat.
but the thing is i dont care if the oceon gets rough.
it doesnt matter not having the answers.

Sorry to hear of your struggles, take it from someone who has been there, the one thing that you can do is talk to her psych. I realize that due to confidentiality you probably can not talk or ask directly about her condition, but, you can tell them of your observations and things that she is saying and doing. Believe me they are not getting the whole story from her and I am surprised they have not requested a conference with you. Also remember that sometimes it takes going thru a few psych's to find the right one. Talk to them, get a good reading as to whether or not you would trust this person. If you think you would not, maybe it's time to find a different one, either way you should really talk to this person. Your wife at any time could lose her manic phase and crash, big time. The problem is you never know when it could happen, and that's when she becomes a danger to herself. I know it's hard but remember she is not herself and really does need help. Good luck!

The only charity for Jehovah's Witnesses is the Watchtower Bible & Trick Society. Just give them everything you can make while living and everything you own when you die and they will find the appropriate places for it.

My wife has Paranoid Personality Disorder
by Witness 007 inmy wife accused me of putting sleeping pills in her tea so i could turn her best friend against her???
she says everyone at work is against her so one saturday she quit and went to another city {her mums}sydney to start a new life.....she found it to be alot more expensive so she asked me if she could come back.
i told her it's half her house and she can come and go as she wants.....then she asked me to buy her a plane ticket back since she blew her last paycheck {$900} on clothes and laser hair removal.

Get your wife to another doctor. Sounds to me that she is a paranoid schizophrenic or a bipolar in an extreme manic phase with all of the spending without consequence. And yes, it may take involuntary admittance to actually get some care for her.
Is there any history of mental disease in the family? Do some online research and if you care at all for your wife find her some help. If you don't she may wind up racking up numerous bills and credit charges in your name, since you are still married. You may also want to consult a lawyer as to your rights and preemptive steps.
I speak from experience. Good Luck!

Warren & Greg,
I have to say this has been an eye opening discussion and an enjoyment finding out about people that I have always wondered about what happened to. I grew up with your sister Becky, my first name is Terry and that may jog your memory without releasing my entire identity. I lost track of Becky after she married Tim and I heard that later they had divorced. I even picked Greg out by some of his posts early on & e-mailed him privately. Things have certainly changed through the years! Warren was quite a bit older than I and I am not quite sure when he left, I just remember that he went to Bethel. I remembered when Greg quit school and left to pioneer and later also to Bethel. Even at the young age of about 13, I was thinking why, as I remember Warren & Greg as being so intelligient & thinking what a waste.
I do recall when Greg came back to visit after he had married and the congregation seemed to gasp in unison as they saw that he had married "a person of color". All I remember thinking is how truly beautiful she was! How could these people be in such judgement. Later most of them said that it must be alright as they met in Bethel. (What the hell does that have to do with it?!)
I recognized Warren immediately from the first listing as he still looked like the Warren, just a bit older, as all of us have become. I am so sorry of your current condition and hope that everything works out well for you and your family. I hope that all is well with Greg and his family as well and would very much welcome an email or update on Becky if you or she chooses. Let me know and I will email you my current e-mail addy.
It is amazing the young crowd that were in that area at the time that are no longer JW's. I would say 95%, and even those still in are not "really in".
Again, as I said it has been wonderful "catching up" and seeing what has transpired with ones I grew up with and there family. (By the way, how's your Mom & Dad?)

For me it has to be the shunning. Come on, I'm not old enough to figure out who I should talk to?? And the absolute worst part is telling you not to talk to your own flesh & blood! What gives them the right? Shame on you, you hard hearted bastards!

First and foremost Happy Mother's Day to all you great mom's here!
To my mother, I'm sad for the fact that she never was a mother. No love, no encouraging words, only routine beatings and derogatory remarks and verbal abuse. If not for my grandmother (my dad's mother) I would have never known what the word love meant. My father died when I was little and I never heard a good word about him, to the contrary she told me to never shed a tear for him. When I became pregnant all she dould do was hang her head, shake it & say I am so sorry. My children (even through the ups and downs!) have always been a great source of pride, joy and love for me. I recently became a grandma for the 1st time and was there through the whole delivery and the first week of life (surreal), and would not have taken a million dollars for the experience!
So mom I know that we have not spoken in 3 years, I feel sorry for you. Sorry for all you missed and that you will miss and all the love & joy you could have experienced. I am not bitter, but I refuse to let anything or anyone rob me of the joys in this life any more.

At the local Pizza Inn where a lot of the teenagers would go after the thursday night meeting, one of the elders and his wife would get 1 (yes, just 1) all you can eat salad bar. He would use the plate to pile it high & deep, after he was done eating his wife would go fill up. His rationalization? It was the same plate. Cheapest bunch I have ever seen, eventually all of the teens refused to be seen with them. Can you wonder why?

Post your favorite saying
by Scully ini was just pondering how the wts has, for over a century, been able to convince people to do what is contrary to their best interests with fear tactics that armageddon is coming soon, and i came up with what is going to be my pet phrase for a while:.
"only religion has the power to compel people to embrace sheer stupidity in the name of faith.
" ~ scully, december 28, 2006. i googled it, and didn't see that anyone else has claimed it, so until someone else finds an attribution for it, i'm claiming it as my own.
