The MEANEST Mom in the World! :)
by BeautifulGarbage ini had an experience with my son the other day and thought i would share it with the board.. i decided to take my son out to dinner.
my daughter was off with friends and my husband was working.
with it only being the two of us, i really didnt feel like making a mess in the kitchen and then have to clean it up.

This reminds me of a little story someone told me about their son acting up in the super market. When he and Mom reached the check out, he decided he needed bubble gum tape. A round case containing about 3 feet of rolled up bubble gum. Well, she tells him no as she has spent enough money and he got other stuff. He proceeds to object very loudly about not getting the gum. Everyone looking and whispering at the way this little "brat" is acting. So to shut him up she buys it.
So they go merrily on their way out of the store and load up the car. She starts driving and he is saying in the most pleasant voice ever, "Mommy can I have my gum now?". She picks it up and says, "Oh yeah Mommy forgot, this gum honey?" He is sitting there with the biggest, honey sweet smile on his face and says, "yes Mommy".(one little happy camper)
Until, she says again, "this gum honey? He says, "yes" and she proceeds to open her window and through it out on the road. She told him he will NEVER act like that again in the store. After a bit of crying he accepted the fact and never acted that way in the store again. Mean can be a VERY good thing sometimes.

You are just too friggin funny!!! One problem though, I don't ever intend on going to another meeting so I won't get to play. You should call like Hasbro or Milton Bradley or someone and see about marketing the game. Then there would have to be commercials to advertise it. Billboards !! Any ideas for advertising guys? -

If You Can't Face A Witness Funeral Again..

no prayers, no hymns, just a natural goodbye that, in itself, contained a healing element that somewhat counteracted our feelings of grief.. then i think back to the funeral of my dad in the 80s.
it was, quite simply, nothing more than a commercial for the witness religion.

Dear Englishman,
I know too of what you are saying. It was this way for my father's funeral and will be for my mothers. What are we supposed to do when it is what our parents want? To make matters worse (or better, depending on how you look at it) non of the children in my family are jws. On one hand we could just go ahead and do whatever we want, who would have more say then us? But on the other hand my mother would want a jw funeral. Any good suggestions out there??? -

When I was watching Dateline the other night, the strangest thing happened, my t.v jumped off the stand and started dancing and singing,"Halleluiah! Halleluiah!". Then it grew arms and hands and started clapping!

I have a confession to make
by BATHORY ini couldnt sleep tonight, i mean i just went to bed and tryed, but something inside of me forced me back up to write this post, and im dead tired.. i guess i always knew that i did it, even though it fell deep deep into the pits of my mind.. at times ( like now ) when i look back and think " did i really do that " at times i almost convince myself that it wasnt me, it was a story someone had related to me, a scene in a movie that i somehow integrated into my memory and now wasnt sure if it is real or not etc etc.. friggin damb it though, as much as i find relief in toying with the forced denials of it all, and then wondering onto a different thought line without ever coming to a conclusion or facing my actions and dealing with it in an appropriate way......i guess thats what im attempting to do here at 2:20 in the bloody morning !.
i think i remember touching a girl ( she was 12 ) in an inappropriate way.
she was the young daughter of the family that were studying with my parents, and during the study i would play with the kids and anyhow.. im sorry if this sounds weird, its late, im tired and with all this talk lately i guess it has surfaced out from the latent annals of my deepest memory.. .

Why Are People Here So Disrespectful At Times?
by Eutapro ineu has noticed that a number of persons making up this forum are guilty of showing disrespect to jehovah's witnesses.
some refer to jws as 'hovahs and others talk about kingdumb hells, all the time professing to follow christ.. some may justify their rude behavior by saying that jws themselves can be rude.
even if the charge is true, and eu is not really convinced that it is, why cannot ex-jws rise above the fray?

Who are you kidding?!?! Anyone that has ever been a witness knows that is exactly what it is supposed to be. Even as a child I knew that. I recall watching the Phil Donahue show with my parents and there was an ex-jw on the show talking about the things that go on in the org. My mothers eyes were as big as saucers as she said, "Oh my that guy is an apostate". I was frightened by the look on her face and said, "mommy what is an apostate?". She told me that it is a really, really bad person that hates Jehovah. I just sat there looking at this man on t.v like he was Freddy from "Nightmare on Elm Street. I was truely scared shitless!As a witness you are taught that there is nothing worse, not even being a worldly person, then it is to be considered an apostate.
