if you are an 'old timer' and wonder why the watchtower and awake.
magazines are so bland and lacking in content, it may come as no surprize.
to you that it's often because a number of topics are 'off limits'.. that is, certain subjects are so troublesome to the watchtower leadership.
I am surprised that with all of the ex-Bethelites that have fallen away, that there hasn't been a move to begin a new Jehovah type religion?
Maybe there has been and I just haven't heard about it?
Couldn't it be done without some of the obvious mistakes made by the ORG?

Welcome to Florida, you live on the edge of heaven though, another couple of hours south and it really changes. In Fort Myers or Naples it very seldom gets cold.

we have a brand new audio testimony from atsuko kemmotsu.
it was given 2 weeks ago at the witnesses now for jesus convention in pennsylvania.
she is from japan and tells her story (in english) of how she was set free from the bondage of the watchtower society.
I think everyone needs help after a few years in any closede society like the WTBTS.

i don't know if anyone is interested in dvd's and dvd writers ... i've got my eye on the new sony dru-500a that supports both competing formats dvd-r/rw and dvd+r/rw (so you can jump in without ending up with a 'betamax').
there is also a new piece of software due called dvdxcopy (http://www.dvdxcopy.com/) that promises to make one click copying of dvd's possible (or at least easier than it was before).. i think hollywood sucks bigtime and will suffer bigtime because they have been ripping us off big time.. dvds are cheaper to produce than tapes and could easily be sold for half the current price while still making a profit.
if they were a reasonable price then there would not be such an incentive to copy things (as it would not be worth the inconvenience).
I am just now doing the CD copying with KaZaa, but am eagerly awating the day I can make DVD copies from the net.
If anyone deserves to get screwed it's HOLLYWOOD. I got involved in a stock deal with a movie production company about ten years ago, they just sold about $10,000.00 from me. I can remember when the VCR's first came out though and everyone was saying no one would go to the movies anymore?
I think I will just buy my next PC with all the copying stuff internal, give them a couple years to get cheap and better. I saw a Compaq PC last weekend with CD writer and DVD writer, 80 gigs, 2.53 gigahertz, for $1100.00, at CompUSA.
