Half painted house!!
by breeze inunder the strange and unusual....the brothers in my dad's congregation painted half of his house last fall/september and never came back to finish it?.
i guess i will have to go and finish it.
my dad is 83 and i suppose they think they helped him.

I guess I will have to go and finish it. My Dad is 83 and I suppose they think they helped him. They just painted the easy part no trim or windows. Dad can hardly walk so he can't get on a ladder.

Real estate - Sell and reinvest in smaller home 2010...
Work Part Time.....

The New System, What will we remember?
by drew sagan inthe reason for this post is based on a conversation i had a few months ago with an elder and a very stubborn publisher.
we where out in service and these two guys started talking about how in the new system everything of the past will be forgotten, "the former thigns will not be called to mind", you know how it goes.
anyway i cound't take it anymore.

Why would this system change? The God that ignores all of the things going on here is not going to change it by killing off all these people, why should he that are dying anyway? The individual/god that set these things in motion probably has a plan in place that will make changes over time but not by a time table devised by primarily Jews in writings from thousands of years ago.
Why, would a being of such wisdom, put forth a book that is so confusing that it is mostly useless. It ignores the life of Christ right up until he starts into his adult hood and covers up any discussion of what he did in his life except for very vague references. Rush represents the conservative right. He is a republican and defends the current regime in Washington and will not talk for the most part to anyone on his show that disagrees with his position. He does however dicuss topics of the day as most talk show hosts do, and offers a very different view some times. Rush does on occassion get caught up in some things that are on the fring of reality. Right after the Katrina storm he agreed with some callers that the government had connections to blowing up the damns that kept New Orleans safe from flooding. If you want to listen to a c ontroversial talk show host that is very entertaining, tune into Michael Savage. He has the same Right Wing approach for the most part but has a different way of disussing the same issues the Rush addresses. He is a bit narrow but his views are very good and thought provoking. He doesn't like Gays, sorry joelbear! I also love Dr Laura Slesinger.....she helps people throuh tough times in their life. BREEZE

My Mom and Dad 82 & 79 are the only reason that I hold on at all......
I think I started really going down hill when my Mom wouldn't shun my gay brother. She wouldn't except that part of the org, and I just stopped cold. Of course they offered no help to any of us, the entire family was caught up in the gay problem.
1975 didn't help. Then I took a good look at the brothers that held these almighty positions. They really disgusted me, many of them are no longer even in the org.
A move to Arizona was the final nail in the coffin, the bros there really looked down on me because of my southern accent....an they weren't doing the elderly things that they spewed from the podium every Sunday etc.....
