  ok - so special talk today - you can feel safe in a troubled world.

  15 minutes devoted to to how bad things are.

  iraq and usa were headlined and 1914 was mentioned > 20 times.

  more frequent per year than during the 2,000 years prior to 1914."

  Do you see the key word? Many missed it. Many preached the old stuff.

  Anyone seen a Memorial talk outline?

  if i remember correctly, someone last year posted the memorial talk outline a week or so before the memorial.. does anyone have access to this year's outline?

  .

  i'm curious because of the new wt article that basically backs away from teaching that the 144,000 were all chosen by 1935. i'd like to see how it is mentioned in this year's talk because, as we all know, the memorial talk is more about the anointed and how they alone partake than it is about jesus..

  The Memorial talk outline is almost identical to the one last year.

  There are two new lines.

  "How does a Christian know whether he has the heavenly hope and is thus in the new covenant?

  God's spirit gives those of the "little flock" personal assurance that they have heavenly hope. [Read Romans 8:16, 17]

  i think most of us were probably trained to believe that money can't buy happiness, but is that really true?

  i know i'd be a hell of a lot happier with more money....what about you?

  of course, there are the big examples we all know of---people who had lots of money, fame, but they weren't happy.

  Rutherford's 1913 Convetnion Speech - A Coverup?

  in the january 1, 1914 watchtower this letter from rutherford was published.

  in the letter he essentially denies the written record of the discourse he gave at the 1913 springfield convention.

  notice how rutherford tries to discredit the written record of his talk.

  I just read the 1913 Convention report on Rutherford's speech.

  Don't see what his objections were.

  religion, race, sexual orientation etc.

  are not legal barriers to adoption in most areas.

  but knowing what you know now, if you were part of the decision-making process, would you be inclined to facillitate jw's to adopt?

  once again the elders appointed a convicted and confessed child molester to a position of responsibility as an officer and ministerial servant of the congregation.

  this time the accused name is jerry anderson crabb of the lancaster congregation of jehovah's witnesses - 4795 macleay road se, salem, or 97301. sadly, as one would expect, he has been accused of sexually abusing a child on multiple occasions.
