Does anyone have ideas about getting the tv shows on line to show up on your tv? What kind of equipment do you need?

Sure. Most newer TV sets have a VGA or HDMI connector. Most newer PCs have an HDMI output. Just get an HDMI cable and connect from your computer to your TV set. HDMI carries both video and sound.

If you don't have HDMI, just VGA, you can use that instead, but that will only carry video, not sound. You will need a separate connection for sound unless you decide to use built in speakers. You can connect your audio output to a lot of things for sound. You could use PC speakers for example (that is what I do with the TV next to the elliptical machine when I exercise), or use an adapter to connect to your home theater system.

Those of you who have wired broadband internet should count yourselves as lucky. I don't. I am stuck with a crappy 3G wireless link ast my place.

This October we'll celebrate 37 years. We met a year before we married.

Congrats. I celebrated my 16th anniversary last month. I met her 5 months before the wedding. I was 21, she was 19.

The loving brothers and sisters were spreading false rumors of hanky panky and that there was a bun in the oven. Isn't that sweet?

Damn Comcast just raised my bundle to $171.99 for the three. Not only can I not afford this, I am not going to support these crooks anymore.

Do you have wireless service? You could dump the land line. If your wireless reception is poor, you could buy a femtocell/cell phone booster/wireless extender and hook it up to your Comcast internet and get rid of a fixed phone line. You might be able to save some money there, although it would take a few months to amortize the original expense.

but that's probably because i spent a lot of time in latin america.

With Rums, I prefer Venezuelan dark rums, like Pampero Anniversario or Diplomatico.

Santa Teresa Gran Reserva and Cacique are good too.

The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE

i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.

if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.

For many years that has been speculation on the net that the NWT is actually a modified version of another English translation, the name of which evades me right now. In other words, it might not have been a direct translation from the original languages. It is a version of another version(s), with added modifications/additions/deletions to support JW doctrine. They went Cliff's Notes with it.

So no, a new global supply of gold is not needed in order to return to a gold standard. The US has gone off the gold standard before, like during the civil war, and has returned to it. During that period, gold went from $20 to $200, and yet a transition was possible. It could be done in a gradual/graduated manner, as has happened in the past.
