I'm sure everyone here thinks I'm completely and totally incapable of leaving your threads alone, and they're right honey!

while i've had an incredible day - one that has changed my life for the better, taken me off welfare, made me self-sufficient (whew!
all in one day) - i want you to know that my heart and thoughts more than frequently go towards you all.
(and not just those mentioned here) .
I'm sure everyone here thinks I'm completely and totally incapable of leaving your threads alone, and they're right honey!

Thank you for being you!

i know, i never formally introduced myself when i signed onto this board.
however, a little bit about me.
i was raised as a witness since age 10. my mother and my 3 siblings are all witnesses.
Don't worry about Nancee Park. She does a lot of good work and her heart is in the right place but she was sadly elsewhere when God handed out good manners.
we've brought forward this weekend's poll because we're sure to have other things on our mind tomorrow!
just in case you missed it, try this link: .

Every Apostate should have their COC in their hand.
since so many post and chat here, and most here do not go to meetings, have you found this board to be a place that can help and refresh you?
As someone who is still an active publisher I find this place an oasis of sanity from my crazy Witness world.
Has it helped me? I was in a state of hopeless desolation earlier this year. This site, the people I've met from here, have literally saved my life.
long time lurker, first time poster.
finally taking the plunge.
i started reading here and other sites last summer, after years of declining 'spirituality'.
Welcome No Apologies!
I've been online since 1994, and this was also the very first forum I joined, apart from some dull technical ones, it really makes you realise what the internet can do for people!
Cool avatar! Great minds think alike, it's the same as the one I've just done on another board - I won't steal your thunder, I'll change it to something else now!

have any of you ever had a moment your life you replay in your mind?
over and over, and thwack your head against the wall saying "what the hell was i thinking?
" or going along just fine, and then have something remind you of the time you were a total loser--and you blush uncontrollably (for no reason at all the outside world seems to think) and rush for the nearest brick wall to commence with the "what the hell was i thinking" battery?
Oh lord, what can I say Joanna honey apart from 'we've all been there!'
words that are difficult to say when you are drunk.. indubitably.
specificity.
innovative.
Quality Trucker! Thanks for your words of wisdom!
i'm going to the blood bank today to donate my own blood for my upcoming surgery.
what's the society's viewpoint on storing your own blood?
i don't see anything in the bible that would hint there's anything wrong with re-using your own blood.......
Yes, I remember reading that the blood that leaves your body is supposed to be "poured onto the ground" ceremoniously!
It's difficulty to keep pace with the society's current view as it seems to change by the day. Fact: I have been criticised in the past for putting my hand in my mouth when I've had a cut finger! I guess I was supposed to drape it downward and let it drip on the floor in order to be a good witness.
All the best (((Mary))), we're all thinking of you!
what is the rule for a jw on reading different versions of the bible besides the nwt?
can they compare between them?
There has been a lot of comment here about the flaws in the New World Translation, but a witness can happily distort and twist most bible translations.
Before the full NWT was launched in 1961, Witnesses generally used the King James, or Authorised version. They also used the American Standard Version extensively.
