  gosh i miss this place.

  first week of my new job has left me only time to quickly peruse the board and the exciting news of the silentlambs march.

  my reason for posting presently is that as of tuesday, i will be without a phone and internet service.

  The VERY Best National Anthem Is The..

  i think that i heard it today.. this morning, i was sat in the millenium stadium, cardiff, wales, not regettably, watching an international football / rugby competition, but a charity absailing event.. to gave us all a taste of the normal atmosphere when 70,000 are present, the organisers played us the welsh national anthem over the superb sound system.

  oh wow, i still have goosepimples.

  it was incredible.. sorry canada, i know mulan rated you tops earlier this year, but wales have, imho, got the worlds best anthem!.

  I sang a few Jdub "anthems" at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff this year, but I suppose they don't count!!

  My favourite is the German one, so I can do my Hancock impersonation and sing "Coughs and Sneezes spread diseases, trap your germs in your handkerchief!"

  this book openly invites pedophiles!

  boycott amazon and make them take responsiblity for offering this book for sale.

  I Gave Blood!

  i went the other day to give a pint of my own blood for my upcoming surgery............boy oh boy, did i start to feel guilty at first, but then everyone told me what a smart idea it was: the doctors, nurses, family, ex-witness friends, friends at work........it was a piece of cake, so i go again next week to give more.. what is the gbs reasoning on refusing this procedure?

  i'm not taking anyone else's blood in to my body; my blood doesn't have to be "poured out" because i'm not frigging dead!!!!.

  how many lives could have been saved if they had even said "okay, you can store your own blood.

  Well, if it leaves the body "he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust" according to Leviticus, and current JW thought, but the edges of this doctrine are getting more and more blurred by the day. Many Witnesses, for instance, would be offended at you sucking your finger after cutting or grazing it, and other witnesses wouldn't have a problem with it. Also, the confusion over what technically constitutes the blood leaving the body has always been a difficulty for our brothers when dealing with standard hospital equipment! When they can't figure out what to do they usually tell the rank and file it should be up to their own consciences!

  None of it makes any sense whatsoever, and so it's nigh on impossible applying any coherent logic to the stance.

  Same in England. Yes, despite the best efforts of many people here on this site, I have neither had it mentioned to me on the doors, nor have I heard anyone else having to confront the issue with a householder.

  I am very close to knocking on that final door. I'm going out tomorrow morning, but after that, I don't know, it's getting tougher and tougher for me every week.
