  The Zeitgeist Movement

  just wondering if anyone here is a supporter of the zeitgeist movement?

  it's not a religion, and it's not zeitgeist: the movie.

  it's a group of people who want to eliminate the world's biggest problems by removing their root cause.

  OutlawWilly, one of my biggest peeves was the number of people who were murdered in my neighbourhood, making me move to a safer country. You must live a fantastically sheltered life, if one of your biggest peeves is posters.

  You don't know shit about my past and what I have gone through or experienced. I know about bad neighbourhooods. I have lived and travelled all over this damn continent and have been in and part of stuff that no one should have to go through. I just do not sit back and whine about it all over the damn internet. Nor am I nieve enough to think that a bunch (read no one really) of people getting together to bring "change to the system" will do a damn bit of good. So you can live in your delusional world and whine and moan all over the internet making yourself feel better, and in the end you are just replacing one delusional system (religion) with another futile hope. It is all just a waste of time. Of course this is just my opinion. Cheers.

  College Football Rivalries

  not sure if this is the right location for this, but i'm missing college football, and it won't be starting up for a while!.

  i thought i'd ask what everyone's favorite college football rivalry is.. some of my favorites:.

  oklahoma vs. oklahoma st. - bedlam.

  Gowing up in VA I am used to the UVA-VA TECH Rivalry. I am a Michigan Wolverines fan and when they play the Ohio State BUckeyes it is always an excellent go for broke rivalary.

  a milestone of sorts.. and this is one too.

  Onthewayout makes some good points. Don't beat yourself up. That is the worst thing you can do. You already lost a good portion of your life being humiliated and beat up emotionally by the cult. Uncle or not, there is not a damn thing you can do to change even one iota of anything that has happened in the past. Don't allow all the what if's to crowd out all the good and progressive thoughts of now or going forward. It took me a LONG time to realize this myself, so I know it is not easy to do. Heres to you and making a speedy recovery from this loss. Cheers.

  I just know that this group or whatever it is, spams the hell out of Toronto with their rhetorical pasted posters all over the public spaces. (one of my BIGGESt peeves,ever ) That in itself makes me discount the group or idea entirely.

  seriously this time.

  its not the nicotine that drives me nuts (i chew the gum) it's that hand mouth desire or lack of it.

  i am finding myself chewing on pencils or whatever else is around me.

  I guess I have incredible stamina and willpower. I smoked near 2 packs a day after leaving the borg. Then one day I just said the hell with it. No cravings or anything. I will have the odd smoke every now and again if I am out drinking with friends though. I to was/am a body builder and that was one of my great motivators to kick it. (although now, I picked up homebrewing and that does nothing but ham to te ol waistline )Also, my kids were a great motivation to kick the ol habit. I wish you good luck. Like others have offered, I wil help in any way I can. Cheers.

  Facebook-Jehovah's Witnesses

  so, i have been mysteriously added to a facebook page for jw's.

  i didn't join and it is supposedly a closed group.

  i went to their page and found a dozen others who were wondering how they became a part of a group they never joined.

  I, to was added mysteriously to those groups. I milked it for all it was worth before being kicked out of said groups. However, that is also one reason I ditched faceook and terminated my account. I kept getting tagged added, and other things that I had NO clue I was part of, nor did I wish to be part of. I know you can adjust security settings to prevent that, but I just decided it was not worth the security and privacy riskfor staying there, if complete strangers were allowed to do those things.

  Well not to long ago my sister and brother were out. My other sister was in but wavering. Now all 3 of them have gotten scared back in by my parents, from what I can gather. So much so, my 2 sisters are pioneers and my brother in law (who was a pot smoking skateboarding wordly guy when him and my sister met) is now a ministerial servant. They are all 30 or under when they went back.
