How to reply to "I want to do more for the truth"?

hey guys,.

a little background first.

i have a friend who knows i am inactive, or at least knows i am doing little to nothing for the truth.

Well he is mentally still attached to the organization. Me, i will never say that. I'm convinced that knocking on doors and giving talks will not bring you closer to Christ and God...the WTBTS would have you believe that slaving for them is what brings salvation, but once you realize that it doesn't you are becoming free. If your friend is REALLY ready to be a good J-Dub, I think he would need to confess (JC hearing) to the brothers his double life...and see if they can mentor him (brainwash him more) so that he is happy again. They may not even DF him, maybe only Public Reproof or something. (especially if he's not married)

Funny how the Society always talks about doing what your circumstances can allow, and in the same breath tell you that you can do more.

Doubt it would ever happen, but sooooo wish it did! Then we could all sue for violation of privacy. and the members would see how paranoid the WT is. Like, really...you know something's wrong when anyone goes that far to spy on another. I hope people start coming to their senses especially with all of the new anti-internet articles coming out. People are bound to wonder "WOW, the Society is really going in on this internet thing. Wonder why they're so scared of it."

red herringa red herring is the introduction of irrelevant material into a discussion to divert attention away from the points being made.a common witness retort to a difficult question is "where else would we go?

" this is a red herring as it diverts attention from answering the issue at hand.

"WHERE Would We Go?"...ya mean "TO WHOM" (I say that each time someone says that in a comment or whatever.)

But, then, do not even the worst criminals often do many many things that are good - donating to charities, supporting projects for community improvement, and so forth? Yet, they are criminals. So, too, a religious organization may appear good - doing and saying certain things taught in the Bible - but if it does not believe and faithfully adhere to all (there italics not mine) the teachings of God's Word, does God approve of it?"

I literally laughed out loud when I read that. So many negative things they say can be said about themselves and its as if the writers do not pay attention to what they're even saying. Its amazing. Even I know not to bash someone for doing something that I myself have done or doing.

How To Leave Jehovah's Witnesses Easily and Painlessly

i have just thought of a way to leave jehovah's witnesses using information from the new shepherd the flock of god book.

it's quite simply: rebaptism.

here are the steps:.

1. The brothers will not let you get "re-baptized"...that's out! They'll study with you if they think you need it, but once you've made your dedication...REMEMBER THIS...you've dedicated your life to the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY (associated with Jehovah's Witness). They don't baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. You answer YES to confessing your sins to them (elders) and turning around. And you answer YES to being known as a Jehovah's Witness from there on out. THAT'S what your dedication is.

It would be easier for you to move somewhere else, have your card tranferred, and don't even go to the meetings. Get lost in limbo. OR...if you're ready to take on whatever consequences...just stop going and if they come around asking duck them or whatever. If they corner you and ask you if you believe in the teachings anymore...say NO. (this is easier to do if you have no children) one can divorce a wife, but if there are children involved, more planning and reassuring may be needed to take your stand.

I've seen too much negative, yet true bs about the Society...so I KNOW I'm getting out soon enough. But I have to strategize my exit. But I WILL EXIT. See I have kids, but I have more relatives NOT in the org. than those that are...so I'll still have familial love to draw on. I know many of you are not as fortunate. But FREEDOM is WORTH IT.

When you were a JW did you dance " provocatively" ?

" provocatively" of course meaning alot.

in my cong it meant moving your body in any way at all.. the spirtual ones of the cong of course would not dance and if they did would do a kinda slow motion running type dance.

totaly embassring to look at.. .

Yes, but not really with "baptized chicks"...they were usually judgmental of the other females...or were 'undercover freaks' that would want to hook up away from other witnesses so they could misbehave.

If they were built like Highdose...she didn't stand a chance. LOL

Straddling the fence or leading a double life.

a subject that i know a lot of you can relate to.

my wife admits to leading a double life in regards to her spiritual activities.

it comes with the territory, i suppose.

all i can say is... you lucky bastard! LOL... sounds like you have an understanding mate who (deep down) knows that something is not right with the organization. Serving out of obligation. Service should be out of love, but the society will not let persons ACT on FAITH. They'd rather TELL YOU what to do. That's not right.
