  it is one of the dumbest talks i have heard.

  this brother communicated with a woman who offered/suggested a meeting with no commitment involved.

  they met and he commited fornication.

  There was an elder in our area at one time who was helping (counseling) a young married couple. they were in their mid-20s. The elder (in his late 40's with a wife and 3 kids) ended up committing fornication with the sister. (gave the young brother a reason for "scriptural divorce")

  Guess its not a good idea to become an elder then huh?

  the GB is superscared of the internet. They know that witnesses are going on the sites and finding out all kinds of information. The news about the deletion of elders just so the Society can take over the KH (Menlo Park) is out there for anyone to see. They're slowly but surely loosing their grip. (on reality and members)

  Today's WT lesson: Desperate for more MS. How many get appointed 1 yr after baptism?

  today's wt lesson: serving jehovah with all seriousness, excerpt from paragraph 11:.

  "if a brother has been baptized at least one year and to a reasonable degree meets the scriptural qualifications for ministerial servants outlined at 1 timothy 3:8-13, he can be recommended for appointment.".

  how often have you seen someone become a ministerial servant one year after baptism?

  I can see it. Especially since in many Kingdom Halls I've visited in the past 2 yrs, including my own...there's a lot of elders doing the sound and carring mics. younger bros are there, but I guess their FS time is lacking.

  Dating after Divorcing a JW...

  any experiences/advice on dating (moving on) after a separation or divorce from a jw?.

  i know that when (not if) i leave the org, my wife will probably separate then divorce me (and we have 3 small children).

  i only know of horror stories when it comes to that type of scenario.

  I had been away for a few days and hadn't seen the rest of these cool comments. Thanks for your support.

  I guess the unique part about my situation is that most of my (real friends) and relatives are NOT JWs so....I may have it better than most when the time is right. My ultimate goal is to not appear to be an EVIL APOSTATE so I've stopped making comments or laughing to my self at "buzzwords" at meetings and so forth. I'm just going with the flow for now, shutting my mouth and at the same time trying to get things in order. I'm on the "Aftermath" chapter of CoC. Having to read it in secret is a pain, but still its one of the best books I've ever read. No wonder the SOCIETY doesn't want members reading it!...EVERYONE WOULD LEEEEEAVE! What's funny is many JWs would be appauled if you told them that you put the Bible before WT literature. That you put Christ above the GB. If/when I'm fired from being a JW...I will not fear shunning. How funny would it be if there was a "SHUN JWs DAY". maybe someone on Facebook will start that. LOL JWs at their jobs being ignored by all of their co-workers is a funny thought.

  Well, don't kick yourself too hard...that crap has been changed now (ref. the new song book)...so I'm sure it doesn't even sound the same anymore. The new songs (remixes) are crap. Funny how such a perfect organization has to keep revising and changing things huh?

  They don't condem or condone it b/c they know they know it would be "going too far" if they did condem it. Then memebers would REALLY wonder WHY they did. The GB sound paranoid enough in many of the newer Study Articles. "Loyalty" is always mentioned in conjunction with them (GB).

  i have posted a few times but mostly i like to read because i gather good insight into reaching the hearts of jehovahs witnesses.

  the short of it is i was born into a large family of jehovahs witnesses.

  Ask about Mexico prior to the 1990s. The Witnesses were asked by the GB to NOT carry their Bibles along, but to still pass out the Watchtower. If they adhere to 1st Centrury Christians' practices of unshakable faith, ...why shy away form using the BIBLE at all? Especially since it was NOT against the Law at the time. Never mind, that may be too deep.

  Ask if a person joins the religion...are they free to leave at anytime? What are the consequences if any?

  just had the last of my sibblings treating my dad like dirt.

  my younger sister recently conveyed to me that my other sibblings jws of course will not give dad any money to purchasde a pair of shoes for himself to wear at my daughters wedding as he has a pair of sandals he can wear, all this just to piss me off .

  they have power of attorney over his estate and collect all the money and ever since mum passed away in a nursing home that they arranged for her and dad because they wouldn't look after him nor allow myself nor my younger sister to look after him and ever since then he cant even buy a lolly pop for himself.

  You may not want to post a letter at the KH. It would be wise not to have the Elders in your personal family business. You should speak to your father about getting a lawyer to represent you and your father in his wishes. Has he made a Last Will and Testament? If not, do he should do so. Are you included in it? Find out. Document all of your dealings with your father and siblings. Keep receipts, forms (insurance, bills, etc.) for any expenses. This way you can PROVE all that you have done for your father.
