  Come 2015, I'll no longer recognize the WT's "POWER" or "TERMINOLOGY" and "PROCEEDURES" I will officially be taking my life back.

  If I asked for a loan from the WBTS would they give it to me?

  if this were the "organization" that jesus chose in 1914.. err 1919, wouldn't the principles that he laid out while on earth apply to this organization as well?.

  matthew 5:42 "give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.".

  so if jw's all asked for loans from the org, every now and then, it would be the orgs responsibility to grant those loans (interest free).

  They would suggest that you read articles about being shrewd and wise about money. Scriptures sited about how one should "count the cost". Basically, they'd make you feel guilty about, or the cause of your financial situation. Maybe topping it off by stating that you could "PRAY MORE" and leave it in "JEHOVAH'S HANDS".

  At least the Mormons have warehouses stocked with materials and food for those of their faith that are struggling. The WTBTS doesn't even reimburse you for GAS in the Fieldministry of which THEY get all the "DONATIONS/PROFITS" thanks to your efforts.

  Real reason for new arrangement

  i apologize if this has already been covered, maybe someone can post the link.. what is the real reason for the society forgiving all loans for kingdom halls and just giving the money for new ones?.

  Usually when a "Loan is fogiven" (in the US) the property (in this case) becomes a "GIFT" or "CASH ON DELIVER". The party on the receiving end will usually have to pay taxes for the amount that was remaining on the loan that they no longer have to pay.

  So if a KH was built for $200,000 and the congregation paid $150,000 over the years and has the rest of the loan/debt "forgiven" the Congregation would have to pay taxes on $50,000 that was remaining. It would be as if they were actually given that money in cash.

  Now...the WT is very slick about this...because most likely the congregation's KH is already the PROPERTY of the WTBTS. So they're forgiving a LOAN that really NEVER was a LOAN to begin with, and they're calling it something else now. While appearing to be the NICE, GOOD GUYS...they're really pulling off an ingenious plan.

  i'm not making a bold assertion here, just pursuing an idea.

  what would have to happen to prove that the watchtower is probably "packing it up", conceding the field, retiring to their new headquarters in senescent peace?.

  the dramatic changes we have observed are mostly motivated by money or legal concerns - but not all, as with cutting back on meetings.. you could reasonably have an old guard that still fanatically hopes for armageddon, any day now, while younger men keep their doubts private.

  Even if only 7 million of the ("almost 8 Million") publishers worldwide were to donate a max $20 US per month, the ORG would be taking in $140M PER MONTH. That would be around 1.6BILLION us Dollars ANNUALLY.

  Ever heard of Bernie Madoff? I'm thinking this could be one of THOSE situations. Whoever's running things will be PAID.

  @lambsbottom ... they're doing it because it's a HUMAN RIGHTS issue. That trumps RELIGIOUS RIGHTS! DON'T YOU THINK? maybe you don't.

  In the middle east...a woman is about to be EXECUTED for "APOSTASY" (she's not MUSLIM)...that's THEIR religious view. DO YOU THINK THAT IS RIGHT?

  What if your JOB held secret JUDICIARY meetings that could affect (not only your income) your social and private life...and because your family used their products or services, THEY were no longer able to COMMUNICATE with you?... you'd be fine with that?

  I've never seen a person (Like in the video) recover so quickly from a psychological breakdown and suicidal thoughts! AND THEN thanked the elders by baking COOKIES!!! (my hands raised to the ceiling...mouthing - not saying out loud - "THANK YOU JEHOVAAAAH!")

  Next time the ELDERS give me counsel, I'll grill some burgers for them - NOT!
