How Can We Reach Witnesses who Won't Believe Child Abuse Allegations?

as you all know , gawd, a lot has happened in the last year.

the sixteen child abuse settlements in california.

now we have a perpetrator of this crime let back on the loose in great britain.

The problem is that what they say and what they do are not the same. The elders do NOT warn anyone in the hall that so and so is a pedophile. And if your child is molested and you try to warn others, they come after you. When people asked me where I had been when I stopped going to meetings, I told them why. When I named the pedophile, some sisters actually put their hands over their ears and said "I don't want to hear any gossip." It doesn't get any more stupid than that. If I was telling them their car was on fire out in the parking lot, they'd listen then.

The other issue isn't about "cleaning house". One of the signs that the WT was the truth in the first place was that this "house" was supposed to be clean all the time. If the WT bears fruit that shows it is NOT God's people, then the "cleaning house" excuse is a moot point. I cannot understand why the average JW is too stupid to see this. The very proof that was supposed to show the world that the JW's had the truth is the very thing that shows that they DON'T have the truth. The first century congregation was not riddled with pedophiles.

Trying to reason with the JW's is like "nailing jelly to a tree". You cannot win. If the WT were perfectly clean, they'd say "see, it's God's people". If the WT was full of filth, as it now is, they will say that God is cleaning house. Well, I don't like a God who lives in a pigpen. And I don't think God would approve of any religion that feeds its members such filth. "JW's are like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and feed them manure."

The bottom line is that with most JW's, there will be no reasoning. They are brainwashed and will die that way. They don't want to know the truth. It would mean throwing away decades of work, time, money, education, etc. They are either too proud or insecure to admit they are wrong and wasted their lives. The issue here will rarely be one of theology or even morality. It is one of psychology. When the WT is attacked or its members approached individually on that basis, then there might be hope of getting some of them out of this lunacy.

Like others said, I try to analyze why the person is there. Some of them can be helped. We all had a first time when we heard of Freeminds. But if they argue or play games, I remind them that they don't belong here and to save their preaching for the car group. Some JW's are just a huge waste of bandwidth.

This is a crock of manure. They don't have enough men left so they use perverts. I wonder if the entire congregation has this wonderful excuse.

I think I'll start a few more web sites attacking and exposing the WT. Then I'll close them, wait 3 years, then apply to be an elder. I know they need them. I'll say God forgave me (he better, I told the truth which the WT does not know how to do), and that I can now be used. I wonder what would happen to me. I'm sure a DF would occur. Like I care.

This is just another attempt to try to put abuse behind them. I remember someone here quoting from a DC talk about child abuse. The speaker, reading from a Bethel outline, said something about abuse and "can't you put this behind you and move on and serve Jehovah"? When I run an apostate site for ten years and if I blew up a KH, I wonder if they'd "put it behind them"?? Such hypocrites.

Do you clowns in NYC truly believe that the world is fooled by your jackass hypocrisy?? Are you TRULY that stupid?? It would take an IQ of 70 (Forrest Gump's was higher) to think that you are viewed by the world OR GOD with even a shred of approval. You perverts are becoming quite famous. The "good news" is getting preached, alright. The good news is that the newspapers and the Internet are finally turning their attention to your depravity. Even the Pharisees could not have been worse than your conduct. You really are an organization of mental misfits. And as usual, if you don't like hearing the REAL truth, tough. Anyone who could shun their family (blood, in-laws, or adopted) just because the WT said so is mentally deranged. My STBX wife told me "you know what you have to do" if I want my daughter to speak to me again. I told her she knew what she had to do if she wanted me to ever help her again and also NOT to publish my book with all the sordid details in it. She'll be the object of more media investigation than she can ever imagine. I'm done playing nice with these lunatics.

My advice to anyone who faces this sub-human treatment is to see a therapist. Many need therapy and/or medication. (I only have a BA, so please don't ask me for medication advice. I'm not an MD.)

I know in my heart that the WT will burn in Hell (poetically) for what they've done. I asked my wife if Jesus would treat family like this just because they couldn't understand something and asked the elders to explain the contradictions just once too often and were DF'd for doing so. She didn't care. I told her she was NOT a Christian and I stood a better chance of pleasing God even though I'm a militant agnostic and will never believe in any god again. She blew it off. So be it.

TO THE WT: YOU ARE GOING DOWN IN FLAMES AND NOTHING YOU DO WILL SAVE YOU. IF GOD EXISTS, HE IS NOT USING YOU. IF HE DOES APPROVE OF YOU, THEN GOD IS SICK AND I'M RIGHT TO NOT BELIEVE. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS, DO SOMETHING. OR DO YOU ONLY ATTACK THE WEAK AND HELPLESS CHILDREN?? WHAT BRAVE LITTLE MEN YOU ARE!!!

You made some very good points and did a lot of research. I know they hide the identity of abuse victims and I can understand that. But adults who have broken the law, in my opinion at least, don't deserve a whole lot of privacy. Out west in the 1800's, they had open trials and the entire town watched them hang horse thieves. I don't see much difference between that and what the WT is doing wrong.

I'm not an expert on the Bible, but didn't they hold court at the city gates so the entire town could attend to offer testimony, to watch, to learn, to see that things were done according to law, etc.? So I don't understand where the Hell the GB gets off demanding all this privacy. Gag orders suck big time and it takes a group of Nazi cowards to pay out money, which NEVER would have happened in a million years unless they knew they were caught, and then to demand that the victims remain silent. If that happened in my family's case, it would have been over my dead body. I don't know how they can sleep at night. Oh, wait. I forgot the luxurious high rises they live in while the missionaries battle malaria and parasites.

I don't really know how many of the ordinary Bethel workers know the truth about all this garbage or how they feel about it. But after WW2, they hung many prison guards for their actions. The claim "I was only following orders." didn't cut it. And it shouldn't protect them now. What if a Mafia button whacks a guy and then says "my capo told me to do it"? Will they let him off or did he commit a murder? Whatever happened to consciences? How many verses are there about carrying your own load, being responsible for your actions, and all the rest?

It's painfully obvious to most sane people that the rank and file have mental problems, especially if they continue to gulp down anything and everything that the FDS tells them. And on top of that, when they are warned not to listen to ANYONE that tells them the GB is wrong, well, I'm sorry but I'm afraid I have to conclude that their IQ's are in the single digits. Most of us were JW's at one time and "went along" with certain things. But I think it's safe to say that most of us would NOT have had any part in the nonsense that has occurred concerning child abuse and other things. The UN thing alone would have made me resign as an elder had I been one. I was a MS and book study conductor for years and I stepped down for far less serious things than the UN and child abuse.

I'm especially puzzled how some of the mothers of victims can accept this and remain as JW's. My wife's excuse is "IF (notice the "IF", as if there is any doubt) there are any bad elders, Jehovah will remove them in his due time". I reminded her that it was HER own baby (and mine) who was abused due to the elders remaining silent. It didn't matter. Out comes that magic phrase, "In the new system, all this will be fixed." I wonder how that would hold up if the public burned down halls, killed elders, bombed Bethel and said to the WT "Just shut up and take it. Someday it won't matter anymore."

What if Freeminds, Silent Lambs, and other people are God's way of bringing this to light? Can the GB/WT prove that God is NOT using us to make this public and get it stopped? The GB certainly isn't doing the job.

Does anyone ever wonder if WE are God's means to make the WT reform? I'm curious about anyone's thoughts on this. Thank you.

Hi Skeeter:

I'm new to Florida, only been here 2 years and only been down route 4 to Tampa twice. A JW who works at my father's bank told me there was a convention in Kissimmee but I'm not sure where that is (south of Orlando?) or how close some towns are to big highways. I've been in NJ most of my life and every road is always crowded. I don't know where a good place would be that a billboard would be seen by many people except route 4. I know that's a big road.

Some one from Tampa emailed me and mentioned this too. I've seen ex-JW support groups on Yahoo but in my area, there were only one or two people, Orlando had a bunch. I don't know how or where to raise the money to pay for the sign. My health isn't good and I'm not working now. Any ideas would be welcome.

One idea I got was when I read Yahoo news alerts about the WT, sometimes the newspaper columnist's name is listed. I've emailed some of these and told them the story. A few had called Bethel and been lied to. One from the Concord paper in New England told me Bethel told her that when a pedophile confesses to the elders, that they announce his name and what he did from the platform. God, you should have seen how I lost my temper on that one. I set her straight and she called them back. Then they told her that "we're all one big happy family and we all would know who did it". I'd like to kill those lying bastards once and for all. (I better stop, my B/P is very high.)

So you see what we're up against. The WT legal jackasses have no shame. They will do ANYTHING to look good and to make US look like Satan. I'm hoping that once people (and WT lurkers) look up the court records, that some will finally realize that WE could not have made this up if it's part of official courtroom evidence. Then the Tower should start to crumble. My best to you and thanks for your input.

Thanks for posting this. It will greatly assist me since I'm writing a book myself. I don't know how much more bad press these slimeballs can endure. I know I intend to set all of Central Florida on fire with this issue. I am a prolific writer and know many people in the media. I hope to get this on TV/radio within the year. This CD should prove to be very damaging to the WT. I wonder how they intend to use "theocratic warfare" to get out of this one. The WT uses lies, deceit, DF'ing people who stand up for what is right, and other things when others get in their way. But the WT forgets that the others use stronger means. When I make my move, it is not going to be in court. It is not going to consist of name-calling or shunning any JW's I know. I don't like them anyway, so why would I lower myself to spend time with them?

To any of you WT lurkers: I realize that I'm not known for my gentleness toward those of you responsible for the rape of my daughter. So I'll remain in character now. If any WT lawyer interferes with my work, you'll have more than a "sore eyeball" to worry about, or whatever the hell you think Jehovah is going to do to protect you when this finger in stuck in his eyeball. Personally, I think YOU are the finger. You can take that any way you wish. None of us fear you or your lawyers. We have more money than you do and we outnumber you. And most importantly, WE are in the right, not YOU. Oh, and you are so stupid that you keep shooting yourselves in the foot all the time. It's not due to God's protection that you are still in existence. You don't serve God and he doesn't want you for his people.

I live near Orlando and the Space Center. How much publicity do you think the WT would receive if a few billboards were rented and a nice warning message put on them? Millions of people visit this area every year, and a good percentage of them are from other countries.

GB: Good luck in staying alive. You'll need it. I know you don't believe in "luck", but it's all you have left. You don't have God's approval and your money won't save you. You can't outrun the parents of these poor children who were molested. And you certainly can't outrun the police or the courts. There is a saying at one of the "sporting clubs" I've seen: "You can try to run, but you'll only die tired." Capice?

now we have a new version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a presiding overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. these notes are frequently dictated to elders by a circuit overseer or district overseer in order to avoid liability (the wts can deny every giving such instructions).

I got the link on Darth Frosty's comment to work and I read most of it. A bunch of wussie, spineless weasels wrote the book and dictated the written notes. The WT Gestapo is SO tough in bossing around women and children but they don't have the guts to admit what they enforce in the congregation. And here we all thought that MEN were supposed to be in charge. And now not one single MAN will step up and admit that they wrote this crap and make JW's follow it. After I read it, I'm sure there will be plenty to say. In the meantime, I'm trying not to get sick. Someday, I hope you lying bullies get what is coming to you. BTW, you'll never see Heaven.
