In the final analysis I think it boils down to is your spouse worth fighting for
and do you love them more than you detest or hate the Watchtower. I've known at least one ex-JW who kept going to the
meetings with his wife long after his belief in the Society had evaporated. After years she finally came out of the Organization.

Heh, heh. I really did enjoy both of them. I loved seeing Ben Stein make Richard Dawkins out for what he is, a biased jerk. And I thought Bill Maher asked some very good questions that his "victims" should have had answers for. Neither film was balanced but both films expose human nature and its desperate bias to hold onto an opinion for personal reasons that have nothing to do with truth. Confirmed agnostic/atheists will hate "Expelled" and believers will probably hate "Religulous." I thought both films were good as an expose on people and how they think, and both made me laugh.

No Country for Old Men - The Coen Brothers' story about a world gone to hell in a handbasket. As good as Cormac McCarthy's book.
Expelled: No Intellegence Allowed - Ben Stein's comedy doc on bigoted atheists.
Religulous - Bill Maher's comedy doc on bigoted religionists.
Bigger, Stronger, Faster -- a documentary on steroids and sports.

Having been through the I-left-first/spouse is still a JW experience, I totally agree with this.

everything is normal, then.. anne rice says she hopes to take her skills writing vampire books and "redeem myself.".
The Christian book market is a hot market. Perhaps her conversion is sincere, or maybe she is reinventing herself for book sales.

i was just wondering if it was worth checking out.
I think the film is full of bogus references to "experts" but I totally sympathized with the man who stars and directs the film. He was mentally tortured for years that he had possibly sinned against the holy spirit and was damned to roasting eternally in hell. He has a lot in common with the JWs who suffer similar unncessary doctrinal fears like demons, being slaughtered at Armageddon. At the end of the film he goes to the church and is standing by himself in the main sanctuary. Holding the camera pointing to himself, he makes a dramatic statement that will stay with me for a few years. For me that small part made the whole film worth watching.

this is jw's from the inside, based on denmark.. this story sound very much like to the many stories we can read in the forum of ex-jws around the world.. so it could be a good way to expose jws as a sect.

HOWEVER, this dvd is a region two (European) dvd and will not play in your American dvd player. My understanding is it will be released 2009 here in the US.
