  Steal a Jehovah's Witness Lawnmower....go to jail. Will JWs try to convert him in prison ?

  man indicted on stealing mower from jehovah's witnesses.

  the man was sentenced to seven years after he pleaded guilty to stealing a mower from new life covenant church.. by joe scottemail the author5:55 am email print comment </form> back to article new embed|share jeremy humphries, 2, was indicted on second-degree burglary and felony theft charges.

  a st. charles county grand jury said there was enough evidence to try humphries for breaking in and stealing a lawn mower and other lawn care equipment from the st. peters congregation of jehovah's witnesses.

  A Catholic Bishop, asked what he would say about a mother with no money stealing milk for her baby, said that the particular situation could always override a basic rule.

  In other words, the rule is, Do not Steal, but in this case ythe needs of the hungry baby and the mother's poverty could mean that in fact she had not sinned.

  A JW elder was asked the same question. He replied that the rule always stood firm. The mother had sinned gravely. But what about her poverty and the baby's hunger, he as asked. No, somoene else could look after the baby. The mother has sinned severely.

  There you have the intransigence and uncaring judgemental attitude of the JW's. Those answers are illuminating, to me.

  Do you miss "dressing up" for the meetings?

  i was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.

  all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.

  my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.

  I thoroughly Dili,ed dressing up. I haven't put a skirt on since walking away from all the nonsense, back in February.

  When I first went to the KH, I expressed surprise at the dress code. I was told it was "out of respect for Jehovah". I replied that surely God didn't care about things on the outside? He is more concerned about our hearts, I said.

  "Are you sure about that?" came the elderette's stock put-down response. I immediately felt silly, Catholic that I was, and so the indoctrination process began. I was knowledgeable about many things, but finding myself in an environment totally new and alien, I felt at sea. I was adrift, and they capitalised on it.

  it's said that apostates/ex jws are the ones who twist and lie.

  what if real strong black and white evidence, undeniable that the wt infact are the ones doing that.

  look at the proclaimers book, page 218. they are talking about the june 1st and june 15, 1938 wt.

  Can't leave, black holes are the negation of all that is, which sounds distinctly nothing-ish to me, and even if they are jam packed full of anti-matter, that only goes to prove the point.

  Anyway, Dr Who is always right, even when he's wrong, because the Tardis, with all it's spatial anomalies, makes it so. ;)

  very, very sad to learn of the death of sir patrick moore.

  i've been following his programme the sky at night ever since the first one.

  he started my lifelong interest in astronomy, and is partly responsible for my sons' careers.. wonderful enthusiasm!.

  On the recording, the nurse was clearly not English, and sounded overwhelmed to think she was talking to the Queen. She actually sounded like a lovely gentle lady, and was apparently a first class nurse.

  I think she genuinely thought she had let Her Majesty down, and would have been overwhelmed to think that she was the cause of such a security breach.

  LOL! The elder who called on me couldn't believe it when I countered his "but we've got the truth" with my "it is NOT the truth!"
