Different kind of class division here. Higher education is discriminated against.
I know one old sister with a very upper class accent who tells me she has been discriminated against because of her upper-class upbringing throughout her JW life. However, she is a true believer and believes all such injustices are part of what Jehovah allows until the time when he sweeps it all away.
If everyone was like her the JW's would still be totally wrong, but in a much, much nicer way.

my favorite book before i knew ray was an apostate, was the "james book", it still is and i love the insights ray wrote, that remain timeless about the letter of james..

in where it matters, we have not been associating with the b**** congregation for over 6 years.
moreover, we have not identified ourselves as jehovahs witness for about 5 years.
as such, we are informing the congregations that we have already disassociated from the jehovahs witness.. in this regards, we do not wish to be called on when the door to door service is performed either for monthly magazine campaigns, circuit/district assembly notices and memorial night flyers.

Hold on a second - these numbers are of baptised people right....and they say that they could have mental or emotional issues - but don't they all have to do a series of questions before they get baptised - based on the fact that they are supposed to know what is taught by the JW's in order to "pass" - how can they then have mental or emotional issues - they KNOW THEIR BELIEF - doesn't make sense
It doesn't work like that. I passed my 6 hours of questions with flying colours. But when I came to really think about it afterwards, I was just parroting what I'd learned. Did I actually BELIEVE it all?
Nope. Not at all.
I never, ever believed that God made Adam 4026 years ago, thereby disbelieving everything that archaeology and paleontology tells u, for instance, about the painted caves in the Dordogne, and so much more.
I never believed that Jesus was an angel.
And I absolutely never believed that 144,000 people would be condemned to sit for ever on heavenly thrones and rule over everyone else. That's not a life sentence, that's eternity!
The whole concept of "the anointed" is just a fairy story! Or a nightmare.

my suggestion would be, try not to go down the route of disassociation.
Nearly all of us ID ourselves as apostate by throwing our toys out of the cot when we first work out we've been scammed. That is what the WT wants us to do. Play by their rules, and they win.
But, Black Sheep, surely by even thinking in terms of apostate or not one is actually playing by their rules. What is apostasy? When it comes down to it, it is just not playing by their rules.
They are wrong. The whole thing is a house of cards. By living within it even in a mild passive non-attending way, surely one is helping to prop it up.
Walking away is bound to be painful, but the sharp pain of a clean cut is far healthier than a long drawn out slow and gradual detachment.
OK, you can point to my different level of experience, and I am not underestimating the hurt and difficulties that are experienced by those entrenched and bound around with the family network, but I have much life experience too and always, always, I've found Moshe's point of view to be the best in the long run.
Always go for the clean break and know that although a period of intense shock and pain will almost certainly ensue, the recovery thereafter will be the better for it.
"God's true organisation" as Moshe puts it, is nothing but a sham. A sham and a scam, entrapping those ensnared and holding them by threats, just as corrupt as a company of scamming loan sharks.

every time i'd ask jw's these questions they would give me bs answers like we will have to wait on jehovah to tell us in the new system or some other lamo thinking stopper.
How do the JW's absolutely know that Adam was created in 4026 BCE?
Are they sure it wasn't 4025 or 4027?
Oh, so you say you can work it out from the dates you know from the Bible. I see. So, if Moses wrote his bit of the Bible, as you say, then how did Moses get those dates? I mean, just who was writing it all down way back in the Garden of Eden even before Eve talked to that snake? What did they write with? What did they write on?
I actually did ask those questions. I was told not to ask. I was told that the Fathful and Discreet Slave knew everyth8ing and I shouldn't question Jehovah.
But the faithful and discreet slave, that's not exactly the Governing Body, is it?
So the Governing Body represents the faithful slave? So, how and why are the Giverning Body so sure of the exact dates? Who wrote it down in Eden? (Back to the top)

my wife and i got a letter sent to me stating we are being called before a judical hearing to discuss allegations of apostasy!
we haven't gone to the meeting in 5 years.

It articulates responses that I tried to make but failed, even in my limited, as yet unbaptised, position with them, as I was accused of having done certain "bad" things, unspecified, substance and details unknown, on evidence unknown supplied by persons or person unknown. When I asked what I was accused of, what i was supposed to have done or said, and who had complained, all I got was "oh no, we're not going to tell you that!"
But in respect of FinchandWeston, coloured lights? Yup. Even I know that's apostasy!
But why care? You don't want anything to do with them, do you? What's apostasy, after all? it is only just not agreeing with what they say that the Bible says. Since they are liars and hypocrites, as well as bullies, you can just turn your back on them and walk away.

i studied russian history fifteen years ago, my mind is blank right now, there was a group of radical russian cult members during "peter the great" time, who threw themselves into fire, burning themself and their children.
At first I tought this was from a Moscow newspaper but then saw it was the Times of India, which is reputable.
I particularly enjoyed the comments; e.g.
"This sect is actually evil and a cult. its demonic in its origin and deceit lies all round it!"
