A while ago an elders wife such a beautiful woman hung herself and the poor brother walked right past her in the hallway where she did it. She said to him over and over that there are some things people say that you just cna't get over but no one found out what it was.

such a beautiful caring fun filled woman.

i have this deep seated feeling as has been mentioned that the constant do more say less give more get less mentality that has taken over the society has many people thinking there is no popint with doing anything as they will never be good enough.

the one thing that shocked me was the elder who told his wife that she is not to attend the funeral as she "killed herself and wont be resurrected" the anger I felt about that needs not be mentioned.

Just so sad.

When the Elders Decide to Disfellowship

the watchtower (and their adherents) claim to be guided by the spirit of jehoover, so when they decide to disfellowship, it would be logical to think that this is god's decision (thats if they really are lead by the spirit of jehoover).

but, the dilemma is, why do they need to give the one being disfellowshipped 7 days to appeal?

if jehoover wants this person out of satans organization, then why give him 7 days to appeal his (jehoovers) decision?

case in point....one young sister gets pregnant elders find out she is hauled before "death row" claims she does not know how she got pregnant as she has never had sex, she is in good standing but they disfellowship.

find out later the dentist she was attending while she and other women were under sedation raped them and that is how she got preggo!

here is the kicker which proved to me there is no spirit....she was told it was the evidence before the elders that made them decide she was to be disfellowshipped. note..before the elders,,,,not i would say what the spirit told them.

another brother disfellowshipped because they said he was not repentant, two years of attending meeting in different congregations because of his work, doing his best and is told that 'we have not seen you enough at the meetings' he spouts off the names of public speakers etc from other congregations, how he gave up his job in the end to be part of the congregation but no "we have not seen" proof again

hit them with the awake of 1947 regarding disfellowshipping and the all out attack by the society about it being a pagan based set up and watch them squirm when you ask if what is pagan should be in the christian congregation.

It is simply a bow to us set up and nothing else.

I remember my wife and I out in the servie in the 80's and I worked with a brother she with a sister and a few minutes into the service she gets her head ripped off for being at someones door xmas day!

as many of you are aware the elders visited my sister and asked her (a non witness) to ask me not to contact my mother (a dedicated believer).. lo and behold, they went were angels fear to tread and spoke with my mother who in turn asked them to show her from scripture where a baptized person who was disfellowshipped and had it reversed was a threat to anyone?.

as far as she was concerned they were 'sheperding" (i call it fishing) and asked where i lived as they would like to contact me, hmmm a flight to the us would be theraputic.

she denied there request for the information.. they told her they were looking out for her spiritual well being.

I was disfellowshipped because I refused to attend their meeting, then the two made the story up admitted they had made a "mistake" and it was recinded about two months later...not sure what the statement made was to the congo.

They asked to meet with me but never attempted to make an apology but told me not to discuss it, I regardless still spoke to and told everyone what was said and done and that proper procedure was not followed and named the two who made the accusation.

Now they discovered i moved and have tried in their way to stop my family talking to me as I am "spiritually weak" for not attending meetings.

If anything, I encourage them to continue as they are truly happy being in the congregation and they know I have never said anything negative about the org etc but do not trust them

My mother is old school "respect me or else" and ha forgotten more than they will know about the bible hence the shifting round the family but not to her until last. She wasnt rude but showed them letters which I have sent showing that I have nothing against and encourage her

I have asked for an apology but never got one, but now the congregation know that the spirit does not work in quasi committees period

What they do not understand it seems is that there are those of us who saw with our own eyes and did not like. We leave them alone ( the vast majority) never speak badly about them and yet they do so much to rip us apart.

I honestly believe they are now scared of their own shadow!

That is an area that got me confused too. I would have assumed if Mr. Uthank was aware of a criminal investigation or cases or repeated molestation then it would have been a proverbial "hitting the fan". Alas I could not find anything on this police investigation in that area either and there seems to be nothing my friends in Australia know about any open investigation into molestation claims.

Then again the denial by the Org could reach a point where they deny any members exist in the country!

It is a game of wait and see....let's hope it is a short one!

Thank you, it just shocked me that so few things had been written about it and the friends I have there have no clue about the whole thing.

I did discover that 'private" prosecutions are not viewed as important as "state or federal" prosecutions but I would have thought that someone somewhere would have viewed this as important given the time that has passed since filing.

Hopefully some good will come from it.
