as some of you may know, i'm a pretty troubled lad who was on the verge of getting baptised but stopped when i learned the shocking truth about the organization.

following that my own mother let me have it in anger to my decision.

The kind of person with a big ego and fond of power trips..... laugh it off and forget it however don't forget the reality of the very fake people in WT.

after some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.

thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.

JW apologist Emeth dismisses teachings of Russell as irrelevant, uninspired and even funny.. Maybe in the future jw's will say the same about todays Governing Body?

Russell was actually the first to take on the role of FDS, he announced that he was the 'faithful steward' of Matthew. Yeah he felt jesus was talking about him specifically 2000 years ago, it sounds weird to say it as a non jw, but then the gov body think that now too.

When Russell died he left a will stating that there should be no more literature than what he had written and he also said his teachings should live on and not be altered, just repeatedly printed and studied.....

This guy did not just think,he was an ordinary man, he thought he was special,,chosen, doused in holy spirit...you can smell the ego from here hey!

ALso lets not forget how he became head of WT, contrary to what we were told, his father and a banker owned the majority of WT shares before he inherited it and did his own thing...... Like advertising very expensive 'miracle wheat' from the pages of the magazines lol....

Was just thinking, poor guy has to sit through hours of b.s. But now having had the curtain open 8 years and eyeing Oz in the face, the meetings and religious work (talks, answers, doors) will just appear so shallow and synthetic. I went to a couple of meetings having had TTAT made evident by research, but I tried to go back and see how I felt. It just didn't work anymore, the placebo was known walking through the door of the KH and you can't un-know what you have learned. Its like being forced to watch a magic show for several hours every week when you know exactly how every trick works ..... Once the 'welcome back' and hugging dissipates, its just you, a chair and a boring old fart peddaling b.s. that doesnt even make sense to him....sigh

The JW's have nothing to offer once you know none of it is true, or even if you start using your own mind to think for yourself. The feeling is awful, I remember realising "oh... I don't belong here anymore..." I then thought of all the people in the cong that are always there but never get involved, somewhat distant even if they attend and do the basics. I now realised, these people ALSO know it is b.s. But have to keep going for reasons of their own needs or others.....

i liked SBF, he dared to seek information, sadly though he lived by a rule of his own making....any information that was not comforting to him, could Not be true. A perfect candidate for a WT mind.

Sometimes people relish in comfort and never notice the truth, some ignore truth for the pleasures of comfort, sometimes people simply choose comfort over truth.....

I have never understood how they know Jesus returned. What is the evidence they use?

i just finished reading the articles that tell us that the last 100 years of turmoil are supposed to be proof that jesus is on the throne.

i have always been confused about this, especially when i compare it to what the bible says about his return.

matthew 24:27 says, "for just as the lightning comes out of eastern parts and shines over to western parts, so the presence of the son of man will be.".

i know as a jw i concluded several times that i was not brainwashed as i was not some unautonimous zombie and had not experienced anything akin to.... .

but in reality, brainwashing is a control of thought and ideas over a person and changing the way they think.

in normal life such sentences are not used, in fact they are highly discouraged... .

The fear ang guilt one feels as a JW when thinking on doubts or questions or on reading material that Watchtower does not approve is a CLEAR SIGN of an altered brain. It is not innate to all humans, tribesmen in africa are not afraid to read the work of an ex governing body member (Ray Franz), a protestant child is not afraid of watching Harry Potter and a catholic priest is not afraid to.....well, let's leave that one for now....only those indoctrinated by current Watchtower beliefs are afraid of normal every day activities for many people...

Swearing
Staying in School
Playing Sports in School
Furthering your career
Watching 'soaps'
Playing shooting games (xbox/ps)
Flirting

Walking into a beautiful religious building/church/temple/mosque
Accepting literature from a householder
Watching a tv nature program that mentions evolution
Having an interest in politics
Daring to make their own medical desicion

The fact that your brain processes such activities and induces fear as a response, unlike all other non indoctrinated humans, means the hardwiring has been changed in your brain. Although culture and upbringing can do this too, you have to question the authority of the people doing it to you, something ironicaly frowned upon. Stating doubt at the authority of WT after baptism, even if baptised as a child, results in the most severest of punishments... cutting off from all other members. That's how I ended up here!

What is the key to brainwashing? Start when they are young.... induce fear and a reinfocment of loyalty for the person/organisation and a humility to its authority. Punishment is essential even from an early age if the authority is ever questioned i.e. rules, doctrines, beliefs.

Oh yeah and the donkey needs a carrot, so amazing things will be gifted the loyal... note there is NO evidence of these gifts...ressurection, life after death, living forever, perfect health, forever young, an end to life's dificulties. Note that these will come at a later, yet unseen time, like a man promising a prize behind a curtain you can never see or question, it is yours as long as you give him your life some of your finances and your unquestionable loyalty.

It also helps to remove any outside influences so that this behaviour appears totally normal as everyone around you will believe the same things, though in reality even with the indoctrination these actions will feel embarassing amongst the undoctrinated, you know you are different. To reduce this, family and organisation unity and association is essential....

I have no doubt I was brainwashed and indocrinated.... think twice before you program our child's brain to the opinions of 8 men in Brooklyn whom you have never met.
