  Decided on the local C of E Church.

  it's absolutely amazing what exactly the same event can do to the jw community and the exjw community.. the difference is that the jw community does not think and has the expected response... we think and, of course, have the exact opposite response as the jw's.. take for example the march km with the "will this be the last?

  The Pastor of my Old Church Tried to Re-Convert Me Yesterday

  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  interestingly, is it prudent to worship a god, you know so little about regarding his morals and actions? Maybe get to know his motives for what appears immoral, before getting down on your knees?

  there's an interesting medicolegal issue arising out of tx, a pregnant women who suffered a pulmonary embolism in november and died (when she was 14 weeks pregnant).. however, the body has been kept on life-support all this time (against her and her husband's wishes), due to an ambiguous tx state law (tex hs.

  166.049) which actually blocks the ability of the patient and family to decide:.

  My Son has had two very big University interviews

  one for mit last month, and one for princeton tonight.. if i told this to people at my old hall, i am sure the reaction would be the same as if i broke a big, noisy windblast in front of them.. but i have to brag about it to someone, so, i will do it here.. .

  we will not know anything about whether he is going to be accepted for a couple of months yet, but, as they say, this $%^# just got real!.

  Congratulations, that is a huge achievment in itself.

  tell your son, they interview people they want, they are just making sure he is the same guy in person that he is on paper. If he goes and is himself, he will do great!

  i'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.

  i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.

  i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

  Everything they told me until age 24 was ridiculous....

  Getting called in because someone had heard I played GTA was a gem, there were a few of us,we were even told if we traded it in that would be allowing others to experience evil. Getting called in for being seen in a night club was another. Being called in for having a friend stay in our hotel room at the assembly was another. Being called in because when the fire alarm went off at the assembly one late night, we then arrived back from the local clubs to greet our elders in dressing gowns and pyjamas outside the hotel, probably a favourite....

  They were endless and they were pathetic and looking back they had no right to say jack shit about our lives, I can't believ parents would allow othes to have so much say. Our elders were paticularly busy-body in nature. The irony is, the elders and their families were up to REAL improper behaviour. Cheating on wives, domestic violence, alcohol abuse etc etc. But making sure the kids were not having fun....priority number one.
