With God all things are possible. We don't know how the plants survived or how enough non perishable food was brought aboard or how freshwater fish lived with the undeniable mixing of fresh and salt water globally....etc. The wonderful Jah just made it happen.

yeah, i'm two days early but it's a thursday and it was a thursday that i attended my last meeting.. i'm posting this thread to sort of gather my thoughts of where i am.

This is what is so egregious about the organization. You weren't even DF'd (not that that should matter).....yet something inexlicable clicked in your mom and step dad's minds that led them to ask you to leave. There is nothing in the bible that tells them that. Even if they take the society's teaching that DF'd people are to be treated like the antichrist......the point is you weren't DF'd. Yet they still felt it necessary to ask you to leave. It is amazing how powerful even unspoken mind control can be.
trying to figure out why..this is in reference to the small boy that was abducted and killed today.
why doe they think it is their duty to turn it into a witness..this person usually posts about how great things were when she was a teen and hanging out and how she wishes she could go back to those fun times.. posts various you tubes with oldies and once in a great while she breaks from it all and posts how great jehovah is..then she goes back to all her worldly facebook friends..i really can't stomach hypocrites!.

i know it's not "the truth" but it isn't a bad life for me,and i still very much believe in god.
the witnesses aren't right but neither are the mormons, the catholics, etc and i have other family devoted to both those faiths.

Yes....you can walk away....but it won't be as simple as it sounds. If you walk away and simply say "I'm done".....and nothing more....you'll be fine. If you admit to the elders that you don't believe what they teach and that the entire organization is man made......you'll be black listed. You cannot be DF'd because you were never baptized.....but they can "mark" you as "bad association". You won't be shunned....but no one will hang out with you either.

Read chapter 7 of Ray Franz' book In Search of Christian Freedom. Even the witnesses idea of a door to door consecutive visitation at homes of complete strangers is completely flawed.

Yes.....it all comes down to the technicality of having your name read from a platform as disfellowshipped or not. So long as your name hasn't officially been read from the platform.....you are not off limits. In fact....your family my be extra nice to you because they are trying to encourage you to come back to meetings. But as soon as you are DF'd.... your family no longer has contact with you.
For witnesses with family IN........fading is a must
i've been reading the gospel of matthew a bit lately, and it kind of strikes me how much the pharisees seem to resemble the jws.
i'm sure this topic has come up several times before, but i've been thinking about suggesting this topic to my jw boyfriend to see what happens.... probably nothing good.

over the past few weeks i've been told that the eurozone will go into melt down and that this will be the start of armargeddon because the goverments will then turn on religon to get their money instead.. i have been told that the greek pm almost rejecting the greek bailout plan would lead to armargeddon.
of course much to the jw's disapointment the greek pm resigned and the greeks did accept the bail out.
thus saving the greek banks from collapse and thus the rest of the european banks.. i have been told that italys debt will mean they will plunder the vatican for its wealth!
whatever the latest crises is......whether it is a tsunami.....an earthquake......the spread of the H1N1........a financial disaster......etc. No matter what it is......THIS latest piece of news is proof that the end is near

According to another one of Mankkeli's threads....the face on his avatar is him. So....what 30 years old or thereabout? That is.....IF he wasn't lying about that as well. But I think he was because unless my eyes are failing me.....he appears to be sporting a bit of a goatee. Either that or he has dirt on his chin....I can't really tell. So....he is a goatee wearing substitute CO/Elder/MTS graduate.
