Mankelli likes to take the Watchtower SOciety's stance when it comes to replying to facts/critical questions. He likes to only reply to certain ones and pretend the rest were never asked.

Are you sure leaving is a wise decision ?- Lurkers think twice- Part 2
by mankkeli inin the previous thread of this series, i called lurkers attention to the need of being discreet when contemplating an exit from the jw religion.
i mentioned that the thread was borne as a result of the general observations i made reading old posts here and discussing with many ex-jws and their lives have gradually turned out.
that thread alone was visited more than 2,980 times and graced with 204 contributions.

Lurkers to any of mankkeli's treads did you notice that he never answered my brain from thinking? question on how not to use my
by life is to short inlurkers i clearly asked mankkeli how to stop my brain from thinking.
really jehovah came to earth and saw a man who had a horrible marriage, and was involved with the spirit world and jehovah said to himself "there's a man who i can work with to do my will?
to keep believing that i could live forever.

JW's can only answer your questions once they've taken you through their indoctrination process. It is only THEN that a brain can accept their answers.
Mankkeli has done the same thing that DJEGGNOGG does in my opinion. He posts "for the benefit of lurkers".....but his reasonings are so out of touch with reality that the only thing he accomplishes is making lurkers realize what a crazy and controlling cult this religion really is. I've read up on his posts. His ultimate solution is........just bury your head in the sand and pretend you don't know anything. You'll be happier that way. Well....for must human beings, ignorance is not a solution. Yes ignorance happens....but it should never be PLANNED.
I am confident that any and all lurkers have seen the absurdity of his suggestions

by outsmartthesystem indoes anyone else get the sneaking idea that perhaps the borg is worth a lot more $ than even we suspect?

Does anyone else get the sneaking idea that perhaps the Borg is worth a lot more $ than even we suspect? Do you think it is possible that over the past 100 + years they have managed to hord tens upon tens upon tens of billions of dollars? I wonder that because.....they aren't completely retarded. They know that the internet/education is killing their growth in industrialized nations. The only places that are seeing real growth are in 3rd world countries where people still sleep on dirt floors and wonder where the sun goes at night. Growth in those places won't help them bring in $. Is it possible that they already know this.....but aren't afraid because they've done such a good job of using technology/automation/cost trimming? Is it possible that they have so much $ that even if they experience negative growth (which I doubt they would ever really admit), it won't matter because they can get everything they need accomplished just by using the interest generated by their hord of cash?

"why arent you interested in the history of your bank before banking with them?"
Likely because his bank is protected by the FDIC. Unforunately the FDIC does not insure lives against being used and wasted in a cult that teaches lies.

"outsmartthesystem - Ask yourself has JWN remained thesame since 2001?, No, It has changed. What could remain thesame in 133 years?, Please be sincere with yourself, you rightly acknowledge that only change is permanent in life, isnt it?. "Change" is a tool, It is the price we pay for growth and development, So, How should the JW organisation be exempted from utilising this tool?. If it has to grow and develop. It shouldnt be expected to remain stagnant. How do you expect an organization governing the religious activity of about 7million people not respond to changes. You know very well that govt policies, human behaviour and the environment are not static, they respond t change at all times, so you shouldnt expect a multinational corporation to be stationary."
You didn't acknowledge that their changes in doctrine have indeed hurt people. Please acknowledge this.
Yes JWN has changed...as have corporations, people, circumstances etc. But they all have one thing in common. They don't profess to be directed by God. The Watchtower DOES profess to be directed by God. Did God direct that children should die because of not being able to accept blood fractions?
Change isn't the problem. I expect the organization to change. I expect them to adopt more automation and less man power. I expect them to release MP3s instead of CDs and tapes. These are the types of changes you should expect anyone to make. "Growth and development" require tangible/operational changes. No one is expecting the borg to be exempt from utilizing these types of changes. You seem to be confusing NECESSARY OPERATIONAL changes with UNNECESSARY DOCTRINAL changes. Why should changes in technology, culture, status, location etc.....also require changes to doctrinal teachings? Tell me why the two should be connected. And you say that government policies, human behavior and the environment are not static....but respond constantly to change. This is true. But they are supposed to. The government is a government FOR the people BY the people. It is designed to change based on the needs of the people. You are trying but failing to compare a democratic way of doing things to the supposedly THEOCRATIC operation of the borg. Unlike a democracy, the borg does not take into consideration the feelings/wants/needs of its subjects when it comes to MAKING DOCTRINAL DECISIONS. The last time I checked, the borg was busy chastising "Christendom" for being more lenient (especially towards gays). In the words of the society, Christendom had, in the name of commercial business, bowed to the demands of their sinful followers. So.....unfortunately for your argument....the society denounces those that change their doctrinal stances based on the changing world around them.
"multinational corporation" - Exactly. They are a corporation that will do whatever it takes to grow. They are not directed by God

"Changes in doctrine is not a big deal, Ask yourself, Has the overlapping flip flops killed anyone?. It doesnt kill anybody, It makes you stronger, monotony is boring"
Wrong. Changes in doctrine have killed/mamed/hurt people. How about all the children that sacrificed their lives for the borg rather than accept a blood "fragment" that is now considered acceptable? How about the atrocities that occurred in Malawi over a stupid political card?
And change in doctine IS a big deal when you claim to be the only true religion.......change in doctrine is a big deal when you take one scripture (Prov 4:18) grossly out of context and apply it to yourself as if it was written as a future prophecy in order to give yourself a safety net for all past and future times you'll be wrong...........change in doctrine is a big deal when looked at in conjunction with the way they interpret Matt 24:45-47.
But......this shall (hopefully) be my last post on your thread. The fact that you admitted "overlapping flip flops" and that you think indecisiveness is ok because "monotony is boring" proves that you are not a JW.....but rather.....an annoying troll

Are you sure leaving the JW religion has made your life better?. Lurkers think twice
by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

"That comment of yours shows how flawed your thinking is. It appears you have not been able to get passed the black-and-white rhetorical fallacies that the Watchtower has tainted you with. Leaving a high control religion doesn't magically make all lifes problems disappear. All people struggle with emotional, family and health issues. It seems you are a prime candidate for being sucked back into another cult if you think there some person or organisation can offer you a problem-free life."
Well done JWFACTS. I was about to post this very thought

This thread boils down to a classic CULT fallacy.
"where else would we go?"
