The fatal flaw was reiterated in the latest WT. All direction is attributed to the Governing Body, they run the show. If you sue the GB then everything they control has to pay. All the corporate dancing in the world will not take away that fact, thus their lust for absolute control will lead to their undoing.

It seems some of you remember the original point of the thread. While WT in 1991 was writing an article condemning Christendom using a lyric from a song about Jesus wearing a Rolex out of one side of their mouth, out the other side they were taking up a secret donation to buy a Rolex watch for a high management person. This caused a great deal of anger among those who had to go along with the program in order to get along with the powers that be.
The copious defense of Max Larson by someone who knew little about him is funny to say the least. Let me offer a few "Max" questions for those who may have actually knew him. I will start with an easy one.
1. What was the most outstanding feature of Larson's face?
2. Where did he receive his factory picture?
3. Where was he given his Rolex?
Let's make it a little harder,
4. What is the name of his fourteen year old pen pal girlfriend?
5. What was the deal Max made with the Brooklyn Mafia?
I will stop there for now, let's see who really knows Max Larson.
I do not think ole shithead will show up for this one. Oh yes, I forgot he has already given his final word on the matter, to bad he might learn something. -

It seems new directions may be opening up for those who have been tricked by religion. Did you sell your home before 1975 to pioneer? Did you pioneer thinking the end would come within five years? Did you forgo a college education to preach? How much did it cost you? Did you lose money in a businnes deal with brothers and the elders told you to make peace with your brother? How about a family inheritance being donated to a religion that lied about the time of the end?
It might be open season soon if the courts continue to rule in this direction. How do you think WT lawyers will fare before a jury when it can be legally proven they have committed fraud by lying to their members in the pages of Watchtowers?

Women win cash for religious deception
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A jury awarded $290,000 to two women who said they were deceived by a fundamentalist church whose leaders promised to produce Jesus Christ in the flesh.
The True and Living Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the Last Days was ordered Monday to pay $270,000 to Kaziah Hancock and more than $20,000 to Cindy Stewart for fraud, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
As a condition of church membership, Hancock gave 67 acres of her farm and shares of water rights to the church for redistribution among members. Stewart contributed money from her retirement plan, attorney Don Redd said.
In return, church founder Jim Harmston promised payments on other property, membership in heaven's elite and the chance to meet Christ on earth, Redd said.
The eight-member jury threw out complaints of racketeering and unjust enrichment against the church and Harmston.
Harmston refused to comment and referred questions to his attorney, Mark Middlemas. Middlemas did not return calls Tuesday.
Harmston's wife, Elaine, told The Salt Lake Tribune that she was disappointed with the verdict, adding: "God's people have always been persecuted and right now is no different."

This is my last post to you. I will not argue with one that insults me.
Too late shithead you have already done that, but I am glad you are conceding you can't win when you tell lies and insult people.--------------------
I did serve in Bethel, in the Factory which is under the guidance of Brother Larson.
DID NOT! NEVER DID! You are a little lying turd.
--------------------
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You prove nothing by saying you were there, anyone can make that statement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------That is my point, you are "anyone".
NO! I stated a fact that you in part verified with your misinformation and lack of actual knowledge of what happened.
----------------quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many people were there for the presentation? How much money was donated? When was it presented?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now you are interrogating me to get this information out of me? Nice strategy. I do not have anything to prove. You told the lie, you prove your source.
Good try shithead, you don't know and you are covering your ass but not saying anything. Yes you have nothing to prove as you were not there and do not know the answer to the questions. You just got busted you little lying turd.
--------------------
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bethelites were victims of the higher ups
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is only your opinion. I was one of those Bethelites and I was not a victim.
You never was and never will be a bethelite so don't pretend to dignify youself as one. Don't you know Jehoavh knows what you are doing? Quit lying and pretending you know how to defend something you were never a part of.
--------------------
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You reveal your true intentions to try and prop up this absolute jerk who everyone at bethel disliked.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well it is obvious you do not like this man. I know the man very well and he is nothing like you describe. It's very easy for you to insult Brother Larson, insult me, and anyone else you don't like. Of course, you have the right to like or dislike anyone you want.
You don't know shit from shineola. What was Max's middle name? To bad you are not going to answer back as you only like to ask questions, insult people and run away like a chicken shit. Consider yourself insulted by your own actions and if I can help confirm your stupidity and lies, I welcome that honor. Max lived like a king off the tit of wealthy witnesses, he never paid for anything and took several vacations each year. Any other "official" travel was paid for by WWW, first class baby, all the way. I have no particular dislike for Max, I do dislike what he stood for, how he treated people and what idiots like you present him to be.
--------------------
I am only saying that my opinion is that you are a jerk and a liar and trying to turn the tables on me and say that I wasn't there when you don't even know who I am does not erase that fact.Oh I am crying now....
Thank you for giving me the last word as you cut and run like the chicken shit you are. Let's see, oh yes, you are a shithead, you are a liar, you never served at bethel, you are a coward, you answer no hard questions, and you insult people who tell the truth. All these facts lead me to one simple conclusion, you must be a Jehovah's Witness.
Remember honor your word and do not respond......

Hey shithead, I answered all your questions why can you not answer mine?? It appears you will incriminate yourself if you do. Instead you just hurl insults and make statements with no verification. I beginning to see you must be an active witness by your lies and misdirection. No former witness would lower themselves to that level.
Let's see what was you last post?
Well I don't know, can you figure it out?
Yes, you are a brain dead shithead.
___________
Can't reveal the eye witness eh? I wonder why?
I choose to not reveal my source as you do not reveal your identity. You prove nothing by saying you were there, anyone can make that statement.
___________Well I WAS an eye witness, I was there when the gift was presented, I know what it was and what it cost. And you are lying.
NO YOU WERE NOT! You are lying and do not know what the hell you are talking about. You provide not one iota of proof and claim you were there. How many people were there for the presentation? How much money was donated? When was it presented? Seems you are short on answers. Liar.
------------I did not say no one donated, I said no one was forced or coerced. You're trying too hard to discredit the Bethelites.
The Bethelites were victims of the higher ups required goodwill gesture to a person few people liked. Do not even pretend you are defending those you never served with or know anything about.

Max was pompus asshole and you would know that if you ever served at bethel which I doubt.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here are your true intentions, since you did not like Brother Larson, you will stoop so low as to lie to discredit this honest, humble brother. And I have served in Bethel, in the Factory building.
You reveal your true intentions to try and prop up this absolute jerk who everyone at bethel disliked. If you ever served at bethel you would know this. Taking a tour does not qualify as bethel service. Kissing Larson's ass makes you a genuine shithead.

Oh boy here comes the insult, heaven forbid that someone question you.
hey shithead, who is insulting who??
---------
Eye witness testimony? Whose testimony, yours or someone that told you what happened? That is for me to know and you to to find out.
--------
Actually I am not a janitor, but of course you would like everyone to believe that every Witness in the world is a janitor. Who's the idiot here?
If the shoe fits, Ok my bad, window cleaners do not know about this either.
--------
I know what a Rolex costs.
Oh really? How much shithead.
--------
I am questioning your source because I was also an eye witness.
Prove it, if you can't you are lying.
--------
I know Max Larson very well and I know about the gift.
Prove it, if you can't you are lying.
--------
Your source is lying, whether it be yourself or someone else. No one was forced to donate anything for the gift.
This shows you are lying, an envelope went to every department head and was circulated, I never said anyone was forced, coerced yes, not forced.
--------
Again, how do you know that $10,000 was raised? By the way, that was not even the amount.
Yes it was and you are lying to say otherwise.
--------
It is odd that your source knows so much about a watch and does not know anything about the actual gift, which was the picture I described.
dipshit who would give a $10,000 picture?
--------
Your are only a lying fool that makes up these silly stories to prove the hypocrisy of a good brother like Max Larson.
Max was pompus asshole and you would know that if you ever served at bethel which I doubt. -

Ok shithead, here goes,
How do you know this story is true?
It was from eye witness testimony. How do you know the Rolex cost $10,000?
I know when you are involved in the janitorial profession you do not get to know the price of expensive jewelry, but that was the amount requested to fill the order.Could they have bought the watch from a brother that owns a jewelry store, thus getting it very cheap?
If so why did he not just donate it? No the money was collected from poor Bethelites, so unless it was embezzled it went for the watch. Is it wrong to receive a gift?
I leave it to the reader to discern as the WT was using the example to condemn Christendom. Why is it not wrong when it involves JW's yet wrong for Christendom? How do you know that Jesus would not wear a Rolex?
I guess you need to ask the writing department why they used that analogy. It appears they wished to give that impression. Is Jesus not worthy of wearing a Rolex?
See answer above dipstick.Did Jesus accept gifts?
Yes and he did not openly condemn others for doing so as the Governing Body through the writing department see fit to do.Does it make Max Larson a bad person to accept a gift?
It appears you do not know Max very well do you? If you did you might say otherwise. I wonder how many brother and sisters get a $10,000 gift for 50 years of full time service? If they do not then why does Max deserve special treatment? Is this not harmful gossip on your part?
I certainly hope the truth will help others to see the hypocrisy of those who lead the organization. Is that gossip? Are you trying to question Larson's integrity?
How could I attempt to destroy something that does not exist? Was the Rolex really the gift, or was the gift a picture of the factory buildings all lighted up at night?
If so it was an expensive picture or one that can transform into a Rolex.

19 The worldliness of some clergy has even been exposed in the media in recent times, as for example the licentious and luxurious life-styles of some TV clergymen. One modern songwriter composed a song with the title: “Would Jesus Wear a [$10,000] Rolex [watch] on His Television Show?” The song goes on to say: “Would Jesus be political if He came back to earth, have His second home in [luxurious] Palm Springs and try to hide His worth?” In addition, more and more clergymen condone or practice homosexuality. Even now the Catholic Church in the United States is paying millions of dollars in damages to compensate for priests guilty of sexual abuse of children.—Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10.
20 Such wrongdoing cannot be ignored by God’s servants but must be exposed for the benefit of others. The great crowd of other sheep must be protected from those who would try to lead them to break God’s laws. And those “sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done” need to be searched out and gathered to the protective guidance of the Great Shepherd, Jehovah God, and “the fine shepherd,” Christ Jesus.—Ezekiel 9:4; John 10:11; Proverbs 18:10.
############I find it interesting the quote above regarding the $10,000 Rolex worn by Jesus. It is notable that about the same time this article was written, someone at Bethel was wearing a $10,000 Rolex. That person was Max Larson. The story goes like this. It seems Brother Larson was approaching his fiftieth year of full time service. It was decided that an envelope would be circulated at all departments in Bethel with the “suggestion” of a contribution for Brother Larson’s fiftieth anniversary gift. If you did not contribute you made to feel like a heel for not supporting the effort. What was the gift? You guessed it, a $10,000 Rolex watch. Max wore his watch with pride and continues to do so today. As the president of the printing corporation it would appear the little lyric quoted above seemed not to prick the conscience of Brother Larson in the least as he serves in his leadership role of God’s organization on earth.

JW Claims About Who Will Be Saved
by AlanF inwe on this forum understand that the watchtower society will not hesitate to lie to the public in order to put its best foot forward.
many of us know that the society's media website, http://www.jw-media.org contains quite a bit of misleading information, such as on the shunning issue.
under the link to "their beliefs" -> "frequently asked questions" ( http://www.jw-media.org/beliefs/beliefsfaq.htm ) they ask the question, "do you believe that you are the only ones who will be saved?
