Calling bush an a$$hole is fine.
I agree!
i was looking at valis' thread and i agree that being insulting, provoking or rabid is out of order in any type of discussion.
when people in general, anywhere, talk about religion or politics, it usually sets up sides.
one of the things that jehovah's witnesses were not allowed to do ever, was to get involved in any type of political discussion.
Calling bush an a$$hole is fine.
I agree!
i'd really like to know if the wts has ever been correct ... in all honesty.
i don't mean subjective, fuzzy dogma that has no empirical basis ... i mean stuff like 1914 and the original idea that it would be end of the world; millions now living will never die; 1975; the generation will not pass away ... ad infinitum.
i have no axe to grind ... i'd really like to know.
Has the Watchtower Society ever been correct?
Indeed they have. "Religion Is A Snare And A Racket"
my favorite coffee is starbucks house blend decaf and starbucks columbian.
i mix those two together equally, and make it really strong, like expresso.
i boil one large cup of water, dump in 4 heaping teaspoons of expresso grind, then pour it through a strainer.
Preferably made with hot milk. YEAH!
i'm a registered republican but i have to admit that after looking at john kerry's web site, i may have to sway my vote his way.
what caught my eye is kerry's attention toward jobs leaving for overseas countries and how the government can at least stop encouraging (and rewarding)large corporations from doing this.
at bush's site, i don't see anything about this huge problem facing america.
...and, as if you didn't need another reason to vote for Kerry - go see "Fahrenheit 9/11"
i was talking to an elder the other day, and he told me that the governing body had all moved to walkill to because jehovah wouldn't let them be destroyed.. but, i thought, weren't some of the gb in walkill anyway?
and if this is the case, why would they build that massive residential complex in the dumbo area?
are bethelites expendable if a terrorist attack did happen?.
Ummm... what is DUMBO?
It's an acronym that stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.
my photos are here!!!

Eva - that's great! I did the LLS Tahoe ride last year - what a blast!
do you welcome change or do you dread it?
do your fears of change ever hinder you for pursuing things that could better your life?.
the thought of big changes always scares me and i see myself avoiding things that would be a change even if it is possible that it will make my life better.
Yes. Quarters, dimes & nickels - no pennies, please.
i have the radio on most of the time.
in the car, at home, wherever.. most of the time i listen to radio 2. no ads, just good music and chat.
you can hear it live here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio2.shtml.

Here's a fine example of American radio:
i was just wondering with all the people on this board and especially all the new ones lately where everyone is from?
you can include your city if you feel comfortable enough.
i will start this off by saying that i live in knoxville tennessee, originally from dayton ohio.
Larchmont, New York (in Westchester County, about 30 minutes from Manhattan).
i went to a bbq the other night and had a couple of glasses of white wine before being offered a white rum with black pepper.
i knocked back two of those...not particularly large ones either and that was it...i was somewhere else!.
the good part about it was that i was with some good friends who were able to take care of me....the bad part was that i could hardly remember anything the next day.
I can't find any specific recipes for Haitian rum & pepper. I would think that the capsaicin (the stuff that makes all hot peppers hot) would have the same effect as when you eat it in food - it makes your blood vessels expand, and the "heat" is dissipated when you sweat. Was it a bad feeling?
