Religion is not compatible with reason or common sense. No matter how much I want to believe in God, the facts clearly show either he doesn't exist or doesn't care at all.
If a human father stood idle while his daughter is being raped & beaten while she pleads to her father for help and intervene. Would he be considered a hero? a loving father? God if he exist, allows his creation to suffer without any intervention at all. Yet many believe in him.

as the information age is apon us and it doesn't take that much information to easily prove this new light by the governing body granting them absolute loyalty and power is a blatant power grab by a bunch of over the hill ego maniacs i see a revolt in the making..
I seriously doubt a revolt among the top ranking worshippers of the GB will happen.
Local elders or rank & file is more possible but not amongst top ass kissers here's why:
1. Top dog JW's are in that position precisely because they worship the GB no matter what. Their sense of right and right is based on what the GB says. They have completely given up their conscience. Integrity has no real meaning neither does standing up for what is right but only if the GB approves of it. These top dogs have seen what happened to Ray Franz, the Malawi/ Mexico hypocrisy, the organ transplant prohibition, blood fraction ban and don't give a crap that many lives were lost or greatly affected. Yet they continue serving the GB.
2. These prominent members have given their complete life most of them obeyed the prohibition against having children. Some even not marrying so now in old age to revolt would be admitting they lived a scam & sacrificed their lives in vain to delusional men. This reality is too painful so it's better for them to just continue the fantasy.
3. Their livlihood & social life (friends & family) depend upon serving the delusional men in Brooklyn. The drunken, abusive, backstabbing power hungry Rutherford got away with murder because no one had the courage to confront him. The ones that did were ostracised and disgraced like the 4 majority board of directors, attorney Olin Moyle & Canadian branch overseer Walter Salter.

People automatically tend to minimize what a person says when they are saying it when yelling or making accusations even when true.
Calm rational questions or conversation is generally the best way to go. If you have the facts on your side or substance on your stance you should not ruin it by delivering it with anger and rage.
When dealing with injustices in the JW world or standing up against a body of elders staying calm and articulate without giving in to fear will scare the hell of lying corrupt elders and their busybody false accusing wives.

i've been thinking about audrey mock knorr hyde since i heard about her death some weeks ago.
i met her while at watchtower farms in the early eighties.
i knew her second husband glen before alzheimers really began to take its toll.
I spent almost 6 years in Bethel and what you said about them is absolutely true. I would see Bethelites that were there for 20-50+ years and see how out of touch with life they were, no compassion, no social skills, no thinking ability, their dress and grooming very odd. Especially among those bethelites that never married were the weirdest. I also saw how those that would leave to have a real life to have children or get married were looked down upon as not being self sacrificing.
I thought to myself no way in hell I will spend my life in this place and end up like them.

i was unable to find any details on this on jwfacts, anyone have details on the wt not being a religion so they could instead own property?.
1995 Yearbook p.211-213 states that from 1932-1943 the Watchtower was registered as a religious organization. However the government required that all property used for religious purposes become federal property. For that reason the Society changed their registration to a "Cultural Society" that educates. This meant that the brothers can no longer sing, pray and use the Bible in their "cultural" meetings. This way they sacrificed the worship of Jehovah, singing praises to him and using the Bible because owning their property and assets was much more important than praying, singing & using the Bible. They made the Government believe that they just educated people culturally and were NOT IN ANY WAY a religious organization.
99.9% of Mexican Witnesses today don't realize that the Governing Body CHOSE to do away with public worship in order to keep their assets. Even traveling overseers believe the evil demonic Mexican Government oposed their worship when in actuality it was deliberately CHOSEN BY THE GOVERNING BODY.
They could've kept praying, singing and using the Bible at meetings but they would have to surrender their Kingdom Halls, Branch facilities, Assembly Halls to the Federal Government. When the laws changed (late 80's early 90's) and religious organizations were allowed to keep their own property, the Governing Body changed their registration as they were no longer a Cultural Society and the brothers were told they can now sing, pray & use the Bible at their meetings.
The naive, ignorant sheep of course saw this as Jehovah's blessing and shed tears of joy when they were told the news. All along it was the Governing Body that compromised the worship of God for their own benefit.
When a leader or a group of leaders control the thinking of their members, their lives, their emotions, their family relations and convince them that bullshit is good for their health......there's a good chance that it a fucken cult.

The degrading of women is nothing new nor should we be surprised by the Watchtower leaders. C.T. Russel didn't like to be overshadowed by his wife Maria as she was a better writer than him. He labelled her rebelious and not submissive although he refused to talk face to face with her. He also refused to call her "my wife". He imposed a "celibate marriage" on her according to the court records. When she left him because of his abusive behavior and she sued for alimony, he transferred his assets to another Corporation and moved his religious false prophesying scam to Brooklyn in 1909. She moved to one of their co-owned property and he kicked her out without prior notice and evicted the tenants she rented rooms to for income.
Rutherford was also separated from his wife (no elder today would qualify if he were separated from his spouse) and he would PUBLICLY state in talks from the platform that women were " a stack of bones & a rack of hair ". Tipping your hats to women, standing up when a women walks into a mans prescence, celebrating mothers day were all condemned as demonic during the Ruthless Rutherford reign of terror.

It's sad how most JW's refuse to accept the evidence that the GB did indeed predict 1975 as the end. The evidence is their own literature.
I had one Pioneer brother tell me that Jehovah purposely allowed the false prophecy of 1975 to be taught by the WT in order to weed out those in the Organization that were not loyal. That is cognizant dissonance on steroids! Cult members will justify their leaders evil actions because seeing the facts can be too painful.
