"But I must add I love all on here.....They are my brothers & sisters still what EVER they believe"
Now that is a wonderful sight to read. So different from the judgmental, exclusive attitude of the Watchtower.
i'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

Deciding what to do will be a longer process for some than others. Don't let anyone push you in any direction until you are ready to make a move.
Continue to take in information and ask questions here, and maybe at other sites as well. Make sure you understand what all the consequences of leaving will be, and compare them to the consequences of staying in.
In time you will be ready, and you will know what to do.
Deciding what to do is an internal struggle that most of us have to go through.
I wish you the very best.
my firend (who is an elder) recently sent the email below trying to get me to come back.
he freely admits the faults of the wt and even goes on to say that even if they did not have gods holy spirit, he felt they would still have gods blessing as the one true religion.
i thought i would get your thoughts on this as it really is (sadly) delusional.
"The majority of people in the world are not of a scholarly bent. People hate to read. People hate to research things. Most people are content to simply be programmed with a singular line of thought. ...."
Nice observation Ziddina. He is really describing JWs to a T.
The people he calls 'apostate' are the ones most likely to dig deep. People here on JWN for example...
- do much more scholarly research than JWs.
- have read much more than JWs.
- have researched more than JWs.
- are not content to be programmed.
It's just amazing that JWs continue to think that they are the most thinking and educated people on earth.

I just read through that second to last paragraph...
- Wondering about the light getting brighter
- whether the governing body is scriptural
- what Jesus meant by Faithful and Discreet Slave
- how can the Bible reconcile the ice age
- what is the correct understanding of "this generation"
- what is the cry of peace and security
- is the interpretation of the Revelation It's Grand Climax book really accurate
- why are so many still claiming to be of the anointed
- did Jesus start reigning in the First Century or in 1914
- what was the purpose of the dinosaurs
- does the Governing Body have the right to tell us not to practice oral sex
- why can't we grow beards
- can we consider those who commit apostasy as sinning against the Holy Spirit
- did Rutherford have an affair with his secretary
- what is the Sign of the Son of Man going to look like
- did the Jews or the Romans kill Jesus
- and so forth . . . and so forth . . .just gives us topics to speculate on and have really good discussions about.
He certainly is willing to overlook a lot isn't he? Would he be will willing to overlook all of these things if they came from another church, or would these things be proof positive that the any other church is false religion?

It's true that Watchtower is extremely legalistic, but by all accounts when you get behind closed doors with elders or a judicial committee they will apply what they want. They can either ignore or apply their own legalism as it suits them at any given moment.
When they are shown something from the literature that doesn't suit them, it will mean nothing. The loopholes are virtually always on their side.
hola a todos.
i am compiling a some misquotes dossier to present to one of my friends on jws and misquotes.
i think it will wake him up to the lies of the wts.

hi friends,.
we have a drive at our new ajwrb.org site for donating blood for witnesses!
great publicity campaign, as people will finally realize that jehovah's witnesses do take blood transfusions!time to end the word-game charade.
Thank you for the link to the article by Kerry Louderback Wood. Scanning it quickly, it appears to be a very good read, which I will do later. I had not seen this article previously.
i apologise that i only seem to post when i have something i'm working on that i would like to have everyon check out.
i am currently starting a youtube channel where i will talk about the false teachings of the borg.
i know its been done, but it's almost like therapy for me.
Congratulations Levi on a job well done. Best wishes for all of your future YouTube presentations.
Letter is here.
ok, i guess i picked a poor title for this thread originally so i'm going try again with a different title!
(seven hours and no hits ...).
this fox news article made some interesting points.
JWs will defend themselves against child abuse allegations by saying they have no more molestors, per their numbers, than other organizations.
The difference is that some other organizations show concern for people by taking steps to control/elimanate the problem, whereas JWs take steps to cover it up. Rather than caring about people, JWs care about their own organizational image.
This is a big difference.
