LOL@Joy ! I haven't even seen Six Feet Under yet, let alone the Soprano's. (sniff) As of tomorrow I start working on changing my phone from the cold monopoly to the new outfit in town - and with it will come cable and new internet, so my email will change - but I'll throw a thread up to let ya know when that happens. I'm only hoping it happens this week before my phone line goes *poof*.

if baptism washes away your sins, as taught by jws, what prevents a disfellowshiped person who has moved to a new area and is not known in that area in attending meetings as an interested person and getting baptised within 6 months.. has anyone ever done that?
if so can the person be disfellowshipped a second time?

my name is cynthia... i have had depression as a child ( undiagnosed ) father was possibly bipolar and mother is depressive both undiagnosed.....my journry into the org along with how the depression became a mental breakdown , which i thought was jehovah removing his spirirt.
my sruggle with the elders......and the many ways and people i sought help from.....well it is all a long story......... included in it.
jws i have known with mental health issues.......breakdowns.......psych docs have had discussed this with........ i would like to relate my story.....i was so ill..nearly catotonic i did not go to a hospital but if i relate how i felt.........it was clear...... how i was afraid of crossing the street because the green light may have been really a red light and i was told so often by the elders that my thinking was wrong...... ie " they were showing love by isolating me ( a depressed person) because i needed to be active and i was not complying..they said they tried ll that they coudl when in reality it was i always i that reached out to them ( thinking they were chosen of god)...... well..i just gave a sampler....my story is very long...i have been tenatious i read so much ( even before becoming a jw ) about depression and dysfunctional families... i was a teacher did not gte my ma ..people here know why i am sure..... well...before i write this story of mine...i would like to ask..if i can do it in intallments........those i relate my story to say i should write a book..........i am not " out of the woods yet".........by the way.......i came to the point that i could not leave my room..... i live in nyc and i was able to speak to bethel elders including g. gangus.... i was very sincere......naive idealistic.............i asked qiestions thinking that surly god understood ...that my motives were good... .
Welcome Cyn! Yes, please tell your story any way you want to. I also had a breakdown while a JW and the elders only made it worse.
I'm glad you're tenacious! And if you feel that you are having a harder than usual day - reach out here. I did that and it saved my life - literally.

This breaks my heart. She needs someone 'close' to help.. someone in her area to rely on when the sky falls.
Perhaps Lady Lee could be of assistance here, or Cassiline. This is truly a sensitive area. This is a girl caught between a rock and a hard place unless she has someone nearby she can go to.
I wonder if there's a way to find out the area she lives in...to see if we have back up in it. And it would have to be a female.
Sheeeeeeet. Horrible deaths to the GB!!!! (I get so angry at those bastards everytime they hurt yet another sweet spirit.)

i'll get to the battery part.
animals as pets weren't always a feature among humans.
Nathan Natas - Oh he'll play with me! No probs with him at all. It's my 7 year old husky/german sheperd cross, Tjiske (Chiska). She'll chase me and what not, but with my youngest daughter she'll do this snarl thing that is incredibly cute - and she won't do that with me.
We get Diego going all the time with the dog's playstance - and it generally has instant results. He's a goof - but always ready for fun. Tjiske wants to play - but she's a runner. Totally amazing to watch her rip around the yard or a field. She'll also go after a ball - but then hides it. Diego brings it back.. lol. They are quite the pair and offer a free show daily here.
Definitely good for the spirits!
Saint Satan - I'm not good at letting people close to me either. I've lost too many people in my life, so it's hard. I'm glad you have fuzzy/kitty cat.

i just became a greatgranfather.
it is a perfectly healthy boy, and also beautiful.
when you see a new born baby it makes you think about how all this life came about even more.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!! What a special occasion. Don't use such sweetness to claim that yer old. Yer just getting wiser.
Gosh, a baby. I'm looking forward to being a grandmother. There's something really magical about babies isn't there All those perfect little parts, scent, sounds.
