JAM even these days I get spiritually overwhelmed sometimes, especially when I look right, left, back and front then I remind myself to look up the sky, I take a deep breath and let my Spirit talk to Creator God, just stand still and let God talk to you, it is not wonders that you will see, but eventually when you look for God wit. all your heard and mind, you will start hearing a small still voice talking to you. God knows who, out of free will, is looking for Him. Go outside and look up the sky night or day and tell God "here I am" and pour out your heart to Him, but remember to be quiet at some point so He can talk to you. Also like I say don't expect any wonders right away if you don't really mean to find God (The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Jesus said: 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me); also some in the spiritual realm have a vested interest in you ... the accuser will be ready to point to the fact that as soon as you didn't see, hear, receive what you were asking for, you give up. You have to have unwaivering faith and know that you know that you know that God has not asked to be seeked in vain. There are no words to describe a personal relationship with God, it is gift especifically designed according to your own need and desires. God treat us as individuals, not cookie-cutter. Your experience will be unique.

I am moved to teas that you are looking for help here, but keep pressing and looking UP THERE ... because there is people that is really looking for God ... and He is also looking for that kind ... reach out to Him ...

estimates range from 4 million to 15 million children die from starvation each year on this planet.

that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.

still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.

I have learned that problems are not a God thing, it has to do with men, with us as individuals. One person can make such a difference in the world - ME, YOU.

C'mon I am sure that the U.S.A. could help feed 500 and 1700 children a day and save them from starvation with only the food not eaten and that ends up in the landfills.

I understand your feelings, but really, we shouldn't blame GOD for this problem ... it is up to us to help each other ... IT IS DOABLE, but sometimes it is INCONVENIENT to put our time, money, resources ... our EGOS are very big ...

Satan is also a "father" of some progeny ... one will have to REALLY look into which "father" is making his children starve to death ... many times the bible mentions the word "mystery" ... I'd say this is one of them ... (but the answer is throughout the bible)

In harmony with this, JWs preaching that soon relief will come in the form of God's Kingdom, for those that are oppressed, afflicted, hungry, sick, etc.. The crazy part is, the relief will be that these ones will be destroyed. I can't tell you how many times I've heard older JWs go on about how bad the world is, and how people need relief, yet at the same time they either forget, or conveniently forget that all of those who are sufferring and have have not converted into JWs, will be destroyed. I just got back from lunch, and when I had stepped on the elevator to take me to another set of elevators, a blind man almost walked off. I asked him where he was headed, and I directed him there. Then I walked him to the next set of elevators and guided him to the 11th floor. Later on I got to thinking, this guy is without sight, and you would think the Kingdom hope would be of comfort to him, but unfortunately if he doesn't find agreement with 607, or who the Faithful & Discreet Slave is, or what Paul meant by abstaining from blood, well then, the Kingdom hope will mean nothing to him because he'll be destroyed along with anyone else who disagrees. I have to say that makes absolutely zilch sense.

I used to get headaches just trying to reconcile that belief ... here I was asking people at the doors ... wouldn't you like to live in a paradise on earth? Would you like to see your dead love one again? If you were blind, mute, in wheel chair ... wouldn't it be wonderful for you to see, hear, walk again? .... the relief will be that these ones will be destroyed - by the same Kingdom who is supposed to liberate them according to the promises of God.

they also love to boast about their conversations with those who feel they have a heavenly hope.

they will mention how when they ask people this question: "what will you do in heaven?

The book of Revelation gives a glimpse of that "country" ...

As far as your question "what will you do in heaven?" I cannot answer that in the flesh, I think of this things in the Spirit, I can only give my testimony of how when I found out I was in the "LIE" - the thought of "heaven" opened for me not because someone "sold" it to me it was during reading the bible, it was a process, the Holy Spirit teaching me to the point that I was afraid and was thinking to myself I don't want to live in "heaven" I wan to be here on "earth" with my children, then a voice in my mind said, "it is not up to you", I know when that voice is not me because it is like an echo in a med size white room and I immediately get convicted and I have to kneel down and praise God and submit myself to His will ... trust me it is nothing spooky or religious experience, it is sweet as honey to feel that connection, it is a relationship in the Spirit with God, with Jesus. By this I don't mean I am going to the "heaven" people talks about and knows nothing of it , by this I mean I understood the city Abraham look forward to, its dwellers, the reward. Like Abraham I take this by Faith. It is all there, spreadout throught the pages of the Bible. Some christians get confused becaused they keep denying that God has kept and will keep His promises to Abraham. The Apostles didn't teach that. God Himself will make the new earth and heaven, the home of righteousness according to His promise (to Abraham); He says: Look I am making everything new (He himself not humans)

We have to remember, and something that I've learned in a broader sense and its implications, is that the moment Israel asked for a king like the rest of the nations, Lord Almighty said it himself ... they rejected HIM ... God out of his promise to Abraham, and only because of his oath to Abraham kept working with the Israelites so to say ... in the lives and history of the Israelites you can see how Satan was always trying to twarth God's plan thus not everything the Israelites did was by divine appointment, the dark spiritual realm was always at work in them ...

i was watching a tv show that made me think about why the witnesses insist on door-to-door work "in this age of mass communication," to quote jesus christ superstar.

did they not have a radio station at one time?

i remember hearing about it and about the dj becoming too popular so he was axed.

so the christian (baptist) that i study with says that there are things in the bible that are useful for learning from history, but if god didn't say it (this is what the sovereign lord jehovah has said, or if jesus actually said it, etc.

) then it isn't something that god is saying, so that helps us understand it?.

i know i need to say more in my question, but hopefully i will learn from your responses to the title.. .

You know ... when I came back to the bible and Almighty God Creator YHWH, the God of Abraham, Isaaic and Jacob, I focused only on what Jesus' "supposedly" had said according to Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Matthew, and I read only the parts in red. I was paying close attention when sentences started with The Lord says this or that in the OT. I believe the Bible contains words from God and Jesus, and that 2Timothy refers to the Hebrew Scriptures ... the bible that Jesus and the apostles read. The NT offer us the testimony of the people that witnessed Jesus live here on earth. Jesus said they were going to be witness of this and to this day the apostles are. Somehow I have always seen the NT this way even while I was a JW.

By the way I have read the books of Sirach, Wisdom, Judith (I love Judith) and others because I wanted to read all the books that were part of the Septuagint and others that Jewish people may have read too. I would recommend to any serious bible student to read as much as of the books of antiquity that are now translated into modern languages, you'll get a better understanding of the bible...
