  before, when men looked at a woman, they were fresh.. nowadays, when they don't look, they're gay.. i know each woman is different, so answers will vary, but in today's world, women react a lot differently to things that were once distasteful.. so which one is it?.

  regarding prophecy, i see nothing that they've ever been correct on.

  from my understanding, they've always had to change the "truth" about the "truth".. scripturally, i can't see the logic of a godhead or a loving father eternally roasting a person who is deemed "bad".. yout thoughts, please?.

  Just like a wouldn't taste a pie with a tiny bit of excrement as part of the ingredients, I would never say that this organization is right about anything!!!

  the etan patz story was huge when i was a kid in the 70's.

  very scary, parents didn't let kids out of their sight.

  You know there are murderers in all religions, but the JWs are so unique because they denied they have people like this in their ranks, they are SO good at pointing point the speck on someone elses' eyes ....

  I am sure that if I talk to my mom about this she will tell "you know very well that the FDS says that this is how Jehovah cleans his organization"

  does anyone here have any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the watchtower bible and tract society?

  mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).

  after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

  further to my post the other day re: jw study who had a conversation with me on facebook and started questioning his beliefs, he has now contacted me back....will post the quotes underneath.. his response:.

  yes i did tell some brothers how confused i was about the information you sent me, they said does it matter where charles russel is burried, i aggree its abou god not man, and as for peadophillia in past yes it did happen in congregations, but that happens everywhere and they said they did not promote it obviously and that people leave when they done that dark act, they said that the police have been employed in past, there are no more cases i now of, again i dont blame god for this he will sort them out...havent been for a while now , at the end of the day there is lots of stuff on net and as long as i am doing it whole from my heart no one judges me but god, i have so many beautifulll friends in the truth, i believe jehova does have a body of people in the world , you do what you will and all the best i just want to do well and all the religions are in wars and do what they want , i am up for 1 god 1 tounge and not doin waht the rest proclaim to do and be there own gods.... its just that all this came out of nowhere , our chats and was damaging to god , i have no idea what you believe in but your messin with fire if you ask me , dont get lost in apostasy and youtube as its a minefield of miss trust.

  Poor thing ... so what if got dates wrong the bible says only he knows the hour ...

  This is so Watchtower mentality/indoctrination ... when I see this type of thinking makes me so sad, reminds me of my niece who was sexually abused by 3 different JWs, her grandma (my mother) was like, so what if she suffered so much at the hands of 3 JWs this is how god cleans the organization (supposedly the perpetrators were going to lose priviledges) ...

  absolutely nothing....but i bet for the forty years in between russell gave him full credit for how he was running things...just like they do today...but why does nobody ask wtf jesus is doing or what he did for those 40 years....who the hell was running things?!?!?!?

  so if russell thought jesus was running things (invisibly of course...how conveeeeeenient) for forty years before 1914...and they still do....what were the differences in the 40 years before 1914 and all those after?.....

  and now i am so dissapointed in my oh so intelligent dad jw elder for life...how could that and pedicting the end of the world in 1914 not be a deal breaker for this third generation jw dad????

  i'm just curious as i'm on the outside looking in when it comes to relationships, yet i recall undercover explaining to me a year or so ago on another thread how his wife was clingy one morning before he went to work.

  it made me wonder as someone who's single, what do you feel when you need to be somewhere and your significant other is clingy at the moment?
