Do You Blame Your Current Life's Issues Because You Were A JW?

do you tend to blame your problems on the fact that you were a jehovah's witness?.

Judging by the kind of emotional, school, social, spiritual life my teenager children have now - a very healthy life because I made sure I raised them away from the Watchtower CULT and JW family - knowing the influence their teachings have in every little detail of a person's life since you are born, I can blame them for a lot of my internal disfunctionalities, thoughts, behaviours, etc., BUT they are not an excuse anymore to continue that pattern of life ... I have recognized the source of my problems and take steps to remedy the situation and help others that are not necessarily ex-JWs but have problems rooted in their past.

i dont really listen to christian rap, i prefer christian contempory, but this new song "false teachers" by shia linne is awesome, its nice to see ppl speak out against the scam artist that pretend to be christians.

i think in the song he names 10 ppl.

i know its got some ppl upset, i guess be exposed get ppl mad, sorta like the wt lol, i wish he would have mentioned knorr or the gb..

I remember when I was newly awaken listening to "Song of Hope" (by a singer in Lakewood Church) - I cried so much and that song became my anthem to start again with GOD on my side .. all 40 years of misery in the Watchtower Corporation washed away with that song, it gave me hope, it freed my soul, brought me to Christ, one song, one moment, one conversion right there...

who was authorized to provide spiritual food in due season?.

where is the continuity?.

Getting Your Money Back From The Governing Body For Selling You A Worthless Bunch Goods

well think about this for a minute what happens when one wills his property or something valueable to the watch tower money grabbing corporation and then finds out the corporation is all based on a crack pot delusion, how can you get your money back if you signed over a deed to them signed a will granting them that.. and what about all our volunteer service to sell books and magazine for them free of charge without any reembersments?.

i mean could this open some interesting lawsuits against them?

and what about all their outrageous lies and horrible treatment they inflict upon the leaveing disbeleiver there might be an angle of some sort of legal action but i'm not a lawyer but i see some legal recousre for money spent while serving the nonprofit corporation because of false advertisements in thier literature..

I have thought of this too, a class action lawsuit for selling magazines with inaccurate information, deceptive practice at its best ... bastards!

What do you believe about the bible?

i'm interested in how we all view the bible?.

let me start by offering three different options:.

a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.

With the help of the Holy Spirit the bible becomes a living word, Christ is revealed to you, and only with the help of the Holy Spirit the bible becomes this:

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

With the help of the Holy Spirit you no longer read the bible, the bible READS YOU!

i've always had some annoying doubts but brushed it aside but over the last few years i've had time to "think" away from the wt.

perhaps there is no paradise, maybe no god and this life is all there is.

I am a disciple of Jesus now, a Christian and I believe that I have everlasting life and whether dead or alive I live because he lives forever. I think JW believe they will have eternal life after a lot of tests, Armageddon, millennium, etc but Jesus gift of everlasting life for whoever believes it is now,,, as far as the lost years of not preparing, saving for my future I believe God has restored what the locust ate, by faith I know that all the promises to Abrahams descendants are mine too and the Holy One of Israel will not leave me and with his help it is not too late to start my life again, to become the person I was supposed to be. He has good plans for my life and my children. I am very happy and eternity is in my heart.

Who would you date?

i was just wondering i have a friend who is getting divorced.

she is 32yrs old and has 4 children ranging from 10 yrs old to 18 mths old and i wonder if she can ever really date again?

she's a really pretty woman but still i wonder.

Of course she will find dates, but I hope your friend gets emotional ready to date again. She is no damaged goods. It is the new normal ...lol
