  my wife went to a meeting at our church today to plan a missionary trip to kenya for next march.

  the people she met with are part of a group that has built a school, an orphanage, and an aids clinic.

  she has decided that her preschool is going to help get supplies for the kids, not a hard task, they have nothing.. this sparked an ugly memory (inretrospect).

  i've been hearing some about the stock wt owns in a company that produces products for the military.

  it seems to be a matter of public record, but i am curious why the american (world) press doesn't jump on what would seem to be such an embarrassing scandal.

  is it such a well-kept secret, or does the general public simply not care what the guys in brooklyn are up to?

  About the Money...

  can someone please explain to me how in the world the 'publishing revenue' is calculated?

  is this based on sales/contibutions for magazines?

  now for the really naive question...is there any kind of reporting offered for annual expenses/expenditures.....

  your series on the history of the blood issue was amazing.

  my husband left the organization before i did but he always held on to the belief that blood transfusions were just wrong.

  U.N. Question

  can someone tell me if there is a clear statement, preferably from the u.n., that shows the watchtower's dishonesty in this matter?

  not long ago, i was discussing the u.n. situation with a jw friend.

  he decided to call the wt legal department in this country.
