My parents got into that Herbalife stuff. And Shaklee way back when I was a little kid (late 70s, early 80s). Last I was in, I was getting harrassed by sisters from various congregations about a long-distance telephone plan. I had suggested that this one family and I get together at some point (for dinner/movie/you know, fun), and when they said yes, they invited me to a conference for the phone plan. I declined, and they never invited me over to their house, ever.

disfellowshiped meeting
by desy2477 inwhen i for my hearing where i had to tell the elders what i had been up to, they asked real personal questions such as where did you do it?, did you go down on him?, were you drunk?, and the big one did you use any toys or vegetables as sex tools?
now i don't know about everyone elses disfellowshiping meetings but did this happen for you?.
anyway has anyone experienced similar?

Yes, they asked me all sorts of questions like that, but not in my DF meeting. This was before, when I was fooling around (but not all the way) with the man who became my first husband. They wanted to know all the sordid details.
When I had my DF meeting (after my divorce), I was short and to the point with them (because my man was waiting upstairs for me, which they didn't know). I told them, yes, I was having sexual relations with a man, and no, I didn't intend to stop. That was it.

What if the U.N doesn't find anything in Iraq?
by kril init hit me a few days ago.
what happens if the u.n. searchs iraq and they find nothing?
i mean it's kind of scary to think what will happen to bush's job approval rating if that happens.

I am in complete agreement with logical. Bush wants war, Blair wants to be popular....there will be war no matter what they find or don't find.

I remember that they kept repeating over and over at the district conventions about not fantasising...how it was bad, and basically the same as actually doing the sexual act. Well, damn...I should have gone ahead and done it then.
I never gave that up. Other than that, I gave up pretty much everything. Making up for it in a big way now!

The Reasons Why You Were A Jehovah's Witness
by minimus inmany here have been raised as witnesses.
others were introduced to the "truth" through various forms of witnessing.
what was the common denominator for remaining a witness for the time that we have?

I was a JW because I was 2 years old when my parents were baptised. I never felt accepted, loved, or good enough the entire time I was a JW (25 years). I was loaded down with guilt for the smallest little mistakes. Terribly lonely, and abused.

I usually feel very stupid when trying to explain what I was taught all my life. I can't believe I went along with it for so long. When I explained it to my mother-in-law, she said, "That religion has a lot to answer for."
