i don't know how i would have handled leaving the borg without that knowledge.. so thinking that got me to wondering, who here has not read them (or has read one but not the other), and how are you coping with exiting the borg?

yes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

but there are plenty of other bits of parlance they use that i can do without.... for example:.
Yeah, we have adjusted those too: " the world/the governments or/the politicians, and
brother/sister (for our real ones). If we write about JW's we type it as: "bro's/sis's."

I didn't hijack their ministry by relying on the WT mags.; which I left in the car. We spook like real people,

We've only been out for nearly 3 years , so we're still in the process of linguistically change.

seems to me that we're playing into the society's hands here.. 'apostate' is the most evil and vile word for jw's.
i suspect it's even more of a terrifying trigger word than 'satan' or "demons", for them.. the society gives us that label which they have negatively loaded in order to make it impossible for jw's to hear us or have anything to do with us.
the word is associated with other words like "poison" and "toxic", "disease" and "filth".. so what sense does it make to use it and allow the society to have it's way?.
