Could the Governing Body be the "Evil Slave" of Matt. 24:48-51?

I know of no other "Christian" religion that claims to be the faithful steward,

as whole heartedly as the GB of the WT org.

Jesus prophesied, and Paul warned there would be; false shepherd's, evil slaves and anti-Christs.

Also; that some were already there in that time, but especially at the end of times!

Christ's brothers have been in heaven for some two hundred years now.

Every thing since then is the seed of the Devil, master of religious imitation,

and of WT's grand deception of searching ones.

It's obvious that Bethel's "anointed class" are impostors!

Just how do JW's explain who is a "false prophet"?

i seem to have trouble understanding how jw's think in regards to "false prophets" or "false prophecies".

i went toe to toe with my jw's brother who is a ministerial servant on the topic of false prophecies.

he just won't leave me alone.

Hi booker-t;

We've had several MS's in our family and still do. They admire the elder-hood, so your in for a hard sell with your brother! The whole arrangement and mental treatment keeps them in a "yes man" mentality. It's easy to be lead when your told nice things about yourself, and that your obedience means your survival! One way to explain that the WT elite are false prophets is to state that they are not a theocracy, but in essence are technocrats! What I mean is that no GOD given rule; Jewish, or Christian, has been so wrong on predictions as have they. Yet, so demanding of obedience to each wrong prediction. If people did every thing WT has taught over the century, they'd be unfit to survive GOD's wrath. GOD said this of the Israelites; back and forth, this way then that way. A technocrat is one who specializes in words, techniques and are well informed. Remind you of some one? Lawyers! Technically their right by law, but it's all twisting of words, like the legalists in Jesus day, of whom he called hypocrites! That's what's covering WT's false teachings; their lawyers. They fit the definition of false prophets better than most modern groups today. Hopefully this food for though can help your brother get his thoughts together.

..... necessarily more religious, but more spiritual in a non-religious way ?

although being religious is one of the definitions os " spiritual " it encompasses much more in the webster's new world dictionary , under the word spiritual it's definition is : " 1. of the spirit or the soul as distinguished from the body or material matters 2. of, from, or concerned with the intellect ; intellectual 3. of or consisting of spirit ; not corporeal 4. characterized by the ascendancy of the spirit ; showing much refinement of thought and feeling 5. of religion or the church ; sacred, devotional, or ecclesiastical ; not lay or temporal 6. spiritualistic or supernatural .

quite a variety of definitions !

Ways in which my wife and I are more spiritual in our post Watchtower lives:

We have less hypocrites as associates,

more spiritual books than when we had a W. B. & T. S. library,

pray more,

don't have the pressure to be pretentious and can think more about GOD,

pay better attention to our grown children's family needs,

I have an accredited diploma instead of W. T. elementary elders training school,

that's all I'll say for now, except...

Those on JWN still serving as elders...What if?

apostates undercover elders (i know there are some professed elders on here) have you ever handled a jc envoling a publisher viewing sites like jwn or others and who question the gb etc.. and if not what if you were assigned a jc involving apostacy?.

i would think this would be almost, if not an impossible situation.. kensho.

Hey guy's!

I know that most of us need counseling after having our emotions abused by the WT for years.

But, unless we also adjust our attitudes; we can become abusers ourselves.

Studies show that abusers were once abused themselves,

and both types often are found in the same home.

The JW's like to think of their selves as being a big family,

and we know they have major problems!

They are good at hiding it; yet as soon as victims like us act out what we've seen them do,

they point the finger at us!

My advice is that we not go from one abusive relationship, into another abusive relationship.

The Bible shows that we may just need to cool down; no more wood or coals,

and then think through it.

Question for elders about MEMORIAL EMBLEMS...

what is done with the bread and the wine after the conclusion of the memorial?.

is it normally tossed in the trash and poured down the drain?.

if so, wouldn't that be simbolic of throwing jesus' body in the trash and pouring his blood into the sewer?.

I made wheat matzos last year for our memorial at home.

It was so thick that while baking and turning over, it puffed up in the middle like pitas.

They were a plain recipe from the web, and are okay with jelly.

Mrs. Being thought the wine was of good quality, imported from Jerusalem.

We're Aware, not anointed; but I'm researching the Eucharist.

There's multiple perspectives explained on Wikipedia;

including the Apostolic Fathers who knew Y'esuwah our Messiah.

Mrs. Being wants to know JWN posters view, not WT's...

on the bread, wine, and possible Eucharist (wine/water mix)?

My thought is:

"Could the Eucharist be for those who didn't receive the gifts of the spirit?"

I saw that page on a counseling resources list; there's several this year throughout the states.

The one in Pennsylvania will feature former members giving their experiences, convention style!

I had hoped for a drama like that including the paid priests, and "Scoliuls" the silver smith all wrapped into one.

But the WT has done that already, and evil caused in those dramas were from "badddd, men" not the WT?

No fake love at these work shops, but real fellow feeling for former Jo-ho's. There'll be a lot of others there too.

They quote the Messiah; yet in practice, insist that "recognizing" their GB is the "only" way to truth and "salvation!" I guess that makes WT the divine teachers on earth, that can 'wily-nilly' change their minds. That they can also demand that we discard real truths at their beck and calling! Well, so much for freedom in Christ!

Who Knows The Exact Current Interpretation of "Generation" Please!

Guys; can we agree on this at least...

1) Flee from Saul = God's anointed David had to live as a fugitive in the wilderness,

while an apostate controlled the Israelite religion.

2) Prophets flee to the wilderness = GOD's true worshipers.

3) Flee to the mountains = Jesus brothers with the gifts of the holy spirit.

4) Flee from Babylon the great = Christendom, all religions and WT publishing corporation.

Hence; an interpretation of "generation" by the WT is devoid of credibility.

Which means our safety isn't in the wooded and growing estates of WT's Paterson Bldgs.

Outside the big city of Babylon(all religion) is the wilderness, that's where we flee to; not WT!

What is REALLY wrong with EDUCATION?

It doesn't have to be about winning an argument over the NWT,

but any topic with "worldly's".

I've seen this gloating over defeating a college grad. take place in more than four congos.

This mentality has had to have been developed in these elders from the society's traveling overseers.

Is there ANY JW belief/doctrine that has remained the same from start to now?

b) "We are God's representatives here on earth!",

c) "We along are His prophets, to interpret His holy word."'

and d) "It's vital that you recognize us as the channel for life!"

But, I know this is not one: "We're bully's scaring you into submission!"
