  i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.

  i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.

  the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

  Dont know if "dying off" is happening or not but I am starting to sense a lack of momentum. Some of the pictures that are coming out now of the big regional assemblies show stadiums with MANY empty seats.

  What would be your favorite job if you could do anything.?

  on the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.

  or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.

  in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.

  i just read an older post on this site that was recently bumped (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/6600/1/don-adams-biography) the post mentioned the adams brothers don, karl, & joel and how influential they are/were at headquarters.

  if death is the payment for one's sins, and a person lives through armageddon and beyond without dying, how does that person pay for their sins?

  how would a jw answer that?.

  COBE cannot be 80 or more

  So its better to have brother under 80 with no concern for the flock serve as a COBE than a tried and true good hearted brother just because he is 80?

  i must admit i can at times be a little "egotistical" when it comes to knowledge and the bible.

  i have studied the bible for so long and have always had a passion for the bible as a jw and as an ex-jw.

  i guess that is all i have left when it comes to religion and as humans we do tend to stroke our egos.

  I thought that the "reason" was because the ark was a sort of "seed pod" for lack of a better term. It was used to preserve the DNA of humans and animals.

  8 humans plus differing animals.

  Animals were not favored over babies. It wasnt sentimental.

  Before someone wants to attack the above, please note that I didnt say that is what I think. I am simply saying what I was taught.

  as has been established on this forum many times over, the wtbs/ gb /fds is aping the policies of the catholic church in almost every detail.

  the catholic church owns prime property all around the world given its supreme standing in the dark ages and after.

  does the wbts have a bigger game plan in mind ?

  I think there are two lines of thought at headquarters. One is "old school" and one is "modernize". Because everything has to be voted on what we are getting is a hodge podge of the two ways of thinking. That is why it is so hard to draw a straight analytical line through any of the new changes. They are based on compromises.
