People like their symbols.
I remember how bad I felt burning old Watchtower magazines.
I would think the JW logo could (has) become quickly sentimental.
with the unveiling of the new jw logo, and all of the emphasis placed on it , will the borg dare to put it on a flag?
i hope they do!
imagine all whom would wake up with such an act!

The more they sharpen the rhetoric around shunning, the more they are tacitly acknowledging that there are reports of many active Witnesses who routinely ignore the instructions - but don't make a big deal out of it.
Exactly what I see happening here where I am.
hi guys, my name is yondaime,.
my will to remain in this relgious sect is fading, i'm about to be a freshman(just turned 18) in college.
, i have seen so many terrible things happen to good people in this cult and i'm sick of it!
Hi and welcome!
jw's walk like this, they eat this way, they look like this,.
they have sex this way (lol), they talk this way and etc.. are we excessively concerned with or critical of inconsequential.
details??.
Well they are where we learned to micro analyze everything from Greek verbs to words in the superlative, what holidays really mean and why you cant say God Bless when there is a sneeze etc etc etc.
So I would say that since they honed our senses, who better to use them on?
the leaks from the new november watchtower are alarming.
they will disturb even longtime jws who haven't surrendered all rational thought.
it's become so cult like its scary.
It looks like they are trying to go back to their roots.
JW.Org buttons have replaced sandwich board signs
Pictures of basement bunkers have replaced pictures of chasms opening up in the ground
Its almost like they are trying to do what worked originally to grow their numbers.
And it DID drive a lot of people away didnt it? But it coalesced the rest!
to be holy, we must weigh the scriptures carefully and do what god asks of us.
consider aarons sons nadab and abihu, who were executed for offering unauthorized fire, perhaps while inebriated.
(lev.
They need to rename November, The Nadab and Abihu" month!
They are sure getting a lot of milage out of those two lately.
Nor to mention that disfellowshipped young people have not been judged from heaven.
Instead,
they are "judged" by 3 men with their own agenda, as evidenced by the fact that one may be disfellowshipped for something another (usually an elders kid) wont be even counseled for.
They wouldnt have to make such extreme examples if the compliance was good (that is the good news here).

(thanks breakfast of champions).
Conductor is the ONLY one with a tie.
Now isnt that an amazing coincidence?
i believe in god but i'm not sure of anything....what about you?.
I believe in God.
I do not believe in God as taught by the JWs.
I know that my thinking is not big enough to encompass everything. Therefore I allow for what I dont know.
Men at one time thought the earth was flat. It isnt.
Simply "knowing" something is - or is not, has nothing to do with reality.
So therefore I hedge my bets.
If there is no God then I didnt lose either way.
obviously i'm having ex cult issues, family still in and a wife that's all kokoo for cocopuffs as well as our marriage isn't good.
i would like to leave her, she has never been the kind of wife i wanted.
anyway the stress is getting to be to much, thinking about things all the time and its effecting my work as well as otherthings.
I would never want to tell anyone to or to not take them.
Since you asked, I am going to assume you want honest answers from a variety of people
I have never taken them.
My brother (a JW in a bad marriage did)
This was his result:
They slow you down.
Makes mental processing harder.
Makes the face puffy.
Causes weight gain.
At the end of the day - the precipitating problem is still there.
