Ok, going to stick my neck out here and say that I dont think there will be an "interview with the friends" part added to the Service Meeting.

I think that was a rumor that continues to be perpetuated by a very few.

But that isnt the only reason I doubt it....

When you think about it, Jws have been moving furthur away from personal expression in every way.

What you say in service is supposed to follow the outline in the KM.

Comments at meetings are supposed to stick with the text of the material being covered.

Experiences given at assemblies are rehearsed over and over ahead of time.

All public talks are to follow outlines. Really big deal talks are manuscripts and are read. (Special talk in the spring; assembly parts)

So why on earth would the direction be to turn people loose with an open mike?

It wouldnt be. They would NEVER allow that.

I dont see it as a slap in the face to anyone.

I see it as a reactionary move. They are desperate and this is the result.

Actually, this is a HUGE admission on their part that they didnt have it right.

That they have to go mainstream.

And we ALL know who owns the "mainstream" world according to them, right?

Interesting that the "10 hour Pioneer" thing was leaked on FRIDAY before the meeting even occured.

That says it all right there.

Looking back to what happened since sept 2012... i must say its brilliant !

who thought in the early months of 2012 that such a rebranding would take place in only a matter of 24 months?.

they managed to go from an antique looking and boring website (watchtower.org) with hardly any attractive content to go to a fresh looking new website with stuff for everyone, families, children, teenagers.. movies, and short videos about almost everything and new ones added every month.

cartoons, animation video's , interviews, picture activities all kind of projects, many audio files like dramatic bible readings, dramas and music, online research tools, new brochures for kids (off and online) etc.

If they have reversed their stance (and they have) and NOW they are "taking good care" of their followers, then what were they doing before?

so it's rumored started by one member that there is a new pioneer rank called basic pioneer, announced at annual meeting.

can anyone verify this is true?

everything else presented at the meeting has been verified except this.

i recently learned ttatt and it really sickens me when i sit through the meetings.

i am so tired of faking things.

i feel like vomiting when annoying things are said from the platform.

I love that you love your wife so much goingthruthemotions!

As for me, I skip as many meetings as I can figure out how to. I keep a really low profile.

I too play the game of sitting there wondering who else is in my position.

I know some who are because they follow me when I go outside. I first started going out to warm up - the Hall is kept very cold. But I have found there is a LOT going on outside I have found.

People with babies. People who just dont want to be inside etc.....

So some good conversations have been had. One man...very well read, his wife is a Bible Study who is "progressing". He is trying to slow her down. We had a good convo about Bible prophecy and 607. He talked, I listened.

Another brother, good heart, has tremendous family problems....talked about how hard the Org makes it to handle family problems. "They tie your hands"

I must look very open? Approachable? Sympathetic?

I dont know.

I do know the parking lot is MUCH more spiritual minded and upbuilding than the inside of the building!

Gog of Magog is still SATAN!!!

during the public discourse today the brobot talked about the gog of magog, and he stated that he was satan!!!

i had to ask my wife if i heard him correctly, and she said yes he said it is satan.... i couldnt wait to run up to the brobot after the meeting and inform him of he "new light" we just recieved yesterday!!!

when i approached him i asked him : what is gog of magog?

I so agree with all of you.

I cant believe that it is October of 2014 and all they have to wow the crowd with is some obscure boring "Gog of Magog" crap.

That wasnt even a big deal when I WAS an avid consumer of all "deep truths"!
