I saw a massive miscarriage of justice, just knew it would be corrected by the "higher ups" and found I was completely wrong - about everything.

Hi whatisthis,
welcome to the forum. Given the variety of folks here there will always be someone with helpful info.
You said in your opening post that you had been dating him for over a year. What did he do last year about this event?

July 2018 WT points
by The Fall Guy inpage 16, par.
18 carefully follow the latest directions.. do we faithfully follow the latest directions that jehovah has given us?
if so, we will not rely on always doing things the way we have done them in the past.

Not an elder's wife.
She has it all in immodest dress - hem above the knee, slit, plunging neckline, and no sleeves.
He has side-shaved hair, square tie, no jacket, sleeves rolled up, and pants too tight.
A ToMo special.

days of future passed
Just thinking about going to an assembly.. is..full.. of...memories of humid women's bathrooms that reeked, dragging books and food up the stairs in heels, watching the "foreign" language sisters "humbly" walking around in their pastel india garb, children bored and tired in their seats and the freezing cold walk into the facilityWhat a perfect and accurate description!

Memorial.. To go or not to go
by Emily1987 inso, as some of you will know myself and my husband are in the process of fading.
haven't been to a meeting since beginning of 2017. .
we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.

I remember when I was still in and my adult son was disfellowshipped.
I always held my breath in hoping that he would come. Being totally honest? I knew that if he didnt, I would be the object of pity among other mothers and get a lot of false commiseration. If he came, I would not be singled out for that deadly pity farce that JWs show to each other when this sort of situation comes up.
My son always came. He arrived in a suit and with a carefully arranged genial expression. He told me "I am doing this for you mom. It is very little for me to do in the scheme of things and I dont mind at all."
Of course, I secretly hoped "something would touch his heart while he was there" like all full in believers hope.
Now I am out and he is still out but he has been such a class act in handling the way he left I use him as my example for my own behavior.
I am hoping I dont go this year - it will be my first not to if so.
But my rule of thumb is if one of the people I love who are "in" will be negatively impacted by my NOT coming then I will go.
It all means less to me than waiting in line at the bank but it means so much to them on more levels than I can count, so its worth the wasted hour if it spares them pain.
So far no one has asked me. hooray!

JW.ORG logo trademark is now protected in up to 100 countries
by Corney ini. as many here know, four or five years ago watch tower society of pennsylvania tried to register jw.org and jw library trademarks in us, but uspto refused registration due to likelihood of confusion with jw player trademark.
" and "watch tower library" ones):.
jw library - registered on aug. 25, 2015;.

Thank you Corney, that was interesting.
They are starting to recognize the importance of branding and perhaps that their best chance of surviving is pushing the JW logo machine.
The witnesses themselves seem most enamored with the branding and logo.
I wonder when they will try to register "The best life"?

I was invited to address The Presbyterians at their church
by Giordano inso i was asked to give a presentation at the oxford forum which is sponsored by a local presbyterian church.
it's a very old church founded in 1758. it's way out in a rural area and if your interested here is their web site.. for a quick look at a beautiful setting: http://www.oxfordchurchlex.org/ yes this image is eye candy but up close the architectural detailing is pretty impressive............ there is no way you are going to confuse this church with a jehovah's witness soon to be closed kingdom hall.. the pastor told me that they would have 15 to 20 people attending my presentation about the jw life and beliefs.
it would start at 10am and end at 10:50. he would open the meeting with a brief prayer and welcome.

The increase in the Anointed Ones
by Sour Grapes into illustrate how the botchtower's groupies are losing brain cells...last year an elder told me some of the increase in the anointed is due to those who have been unfaithful and needed to be replaced.
when i was in first grade i knew that if i had 10 marbles and i lost one and a friend gave me a marble to replace the one i lost that i once again had 10 not 11 marbles.. jdubs are very good at not thinking..

Sour Grapes
Let's take the madness a step further. Only 144,000 get to go to heaven. At the end of the first century, there were over 1,000,000 Christain's who would have had the hope of going to heaven
Vanderhoven7
Since the other sheep only began being called after the year 1900...all Christians before that were anointed. These are such important points I want to requote them in case they got missed.

Talking to the people under the steeple
by Giordano ini haven't found religion viable after we left the jws some fifty years ago.. oddly enough i will be conducting a session at the oxford forum which is put on once a week on a sunday by the presbyterian church.
they invite scholars, professors, artists etc.
people of interest to expose their congregation to what else is going on in this community.

it was a struggle to come up with an answer on this one.
as a jw, the things i was passionate about were chosen for me.

performing random acts of kindness..
I can tell you all of this as I am anon.
Yesterday at Centrelink (social security) I saw a young couple looking for work and they had a beautiful baby, the little one was clearly the very centre of their being. I acknowledged the baby wished them well and went to the toy shop and came back with a soft toy teddy for them. It lifted them no end.AAnd reading about your small act of great kindness lifted me!
