"Even if it isn't the truth, it's still the best way to live"
by Simon inhave you heard that old chestnut?
i have.. typically it's the last resort when you have dismantled a jws beliefs and they have no way of defending them.
they know they are beat so they come out with that one.. its effectively an admission that you are right and they have no argument but they are still going to attend meetings because they like the social club.. what a lame way to defend your faith..

I hear this all the time. It is a straw man argument in typical JDub fashion LOL -

At the doors.
by Sabin inwhat were some of the derogatory things you heard or said about house holders?
.
i was taught that if they didn't answer the door & you knew they were in it was always that they had a guilty conscience..

I was forced out in service with a CO's wife by my father and mother who thought it would be good for me to get to know them. It was their first year as substitute CO couple and they were young (am I allowed to call out their names here?) Boy what a bunch of judgmental hypocrites they turned out to be. All nice and loving in the hall, giving talks about love and love and love and love...................................................................... but out in service got to see the real people who are they. If someone did not want a WT then "their heart condition is not right to accept Jehoavh." A man with lots of tattoos comes to the door and he says "no thanks, I don't need God." and closes the door. She says to me, "with all those disgusting tattoos God does not want you." and laughs. Really? Because of tattoos God does not love someone? Go down the block, a dirty house with bad smells coming outside then she says, "they need Jehovah in their life to clean up and worship him." Sick and twisted things like that. I would love to tell you their names. I wonder if they are even JDubs anymore! -

Orphan I try. Really I do. But knowing what I know and having seen what I have seen with my own eyes and experience it makes me so angry that more JDubs are not asking these questions and reporting these things! Like mindless drones who obey orders willfully ignorantly. When will justice come to this cult? You can say I was a JDub only for a short time before I got Dfd but in that time I have seen so much. I can not imagine those who have been JDubs for 30, 40 years or worked in Bethel.
I heard someone say "Bethel makes the best apostates." Know we know why!

This is so tragic. How many young ones must lose their lives for this cult?
I remember when I was a naive active JDub when something bad would happen, it was always, "think about JEHOAVHS NAME" and they would do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING to hide the fact that it was a JDub especially when he was an elder or pioneer. For example in my old hall, the 30 something year old son of the PO got a 14 year old girl prego. The son broke down and confessed this to his father who was kind of the "King elder" if you know what I mean. Every hall has one. Well they covered it up all they could. The family of the girl was told to not report this to the authorities because "think about Jehobahs name!" So at school she told everyone her boyfriend was 16 and he ran away and they made up this big story. A complete lie! WTF? Seriously! So it is OK to lie when it is Jehobah's name? F*ck that! Either you are honest all the time, which I would expect a "HOLY GOD" to want or you are not. I am sure that Jehobah does not care about his holy "name" that much if he did not bother to make sure his servants would know how to F*CKING PRONOUNCE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FTW the creepy son of the elder never got officially DFd cause they said he had "learning disabilities." WTF so that is the free pass card? I am going to try that sometime! Hey Brother A** Hole, I am really sorry about f*cking your son but hey, I have ADHD! Let a sister live a little!

Sir82 you and I think alike!
Plus I have always said that the JDub cult should never be getting 801c tax exempt status since they do ZERO charity. Zilch. Null. Nada.
Here is what we all need to do:

Who is your favourite thinker?
by The Rebel inhaving recently read orwells 1984, i was impressed with how he understood that both politicians and people abuse language.
this further confirmed to me how the w.t had deceived me by using words to distort reality.
the book 1984, also contains many other great thoughts of george orwell.. of course there have been many other great thinkers, buddah, darwin, freud, einstein and marx come to mind.

Anthony Morris III. Hands down. Brilliant man. Who else could mislead so many people with absolute devotion?

This sounds like what I was going through for a while so I am so sorry to hear that. My advice to you, in now that I am talking to a ton of ex-JDubs is Lawyer Up! and sue the crude out of them and the WT ! Contact a local newspaper, put out ads in the locals whatever you have to do. I am sure there is at least one shark in your area willing to make a name for himself. If you do not win, you have helped to save a few lives when they read the newspaper. And if you do win, you will get some ca$h and save some lives! It is a win/win situation here. -

A lot of "forbidden" talk is going on among witnesses
by nevaagain inme and my wife are still "in".
we had the "talk" a couple of times, but shet is not ready to leave yet.
while a couple of years ago she started crying on the thought that i am an "apostate" and even gave me an ultimatum until she would rat me out to the elders (never happened), now i sense that she might is a little bit more open to the the thought to leave one day .... anyway, all out friends and family are still in the truth and whenever we are meeting with other witnesses topic #1 is always the recent changes to the meetings / conventions (reduced to one day) which always lead to the changes to the magazines and the recent lay offs of the special pioneers and bethelites.
