  what would happen if, one by one, each jehovah's witness started standing up for him/herself and what s/he personally stands for?.

  a couple of examples: .

  a friend of mine, an elder in a rural northern kentucky congregation, stepped down from his position a couple of years ago, and when confronted by the elders, he basically told them in no uncertain terms to 'leave him and his family alone.

  ok, heres my question for all the ex-elders out there.. it will be announced thursday that my niece will be disfellowshipped.. the circumstances are not important to this discussion, but she is .

  remorseful for her actions and has taken steps so it will not happen again.

  she actually made a lot of sacrifices to try to make her mistake right.

  what do you do when you see people holding the cardboard signs?

  sunday afternoon i was driving to a day spa in seattle for a pedicure.

  i was sitting at a red light and there was an older man holding a cardboard sign.

  One of my oldest & vivid memories was when I was about 6 yrs. old.
  I was walking with my father & a pan-handeler approached asking for some money for a sandwich.
  To my horror, my dad grabbed him by the shirt like a rag doll, & dragged him into a deli nearby, he said, "You want a sandwich, well I'll get you a sandwich!"
  He walked up & down the isles picking up food items, paid for them, shoved them into the pan-handlers arms, grabbed me & walked out.
  Its something I'll never forget!

  i have been wondering, just how many of us here started looking into the injustices of the wtbs after being disfellowshipped.

  did some of us look here in order to justify our anger because we were ousted.

  did some have hatred right away or was it gradual?

  I wasn't happy being a jw fence-rider & couldn't take it any longer. As soon as I started researching it, I knew I had been scamed & I was mad, MAD at me for being so stupid!
