After I was df at 17 for having sex with boyfriend. I went to meetings (had to still living at home) and after the meeting I would be stopped by one of the Elders from my judicial comitte. He would always ask me if I was still "having relations" with my boyfriend. He said don't lie, just tell me. I said no, and he said are you sure? I remember thinking to myself Why does he care I am disfellowshipped and it's none of his business. I guess he knew I was lying at the time. I turned 18 I moved into a little apartment and never went back.

Do the loving elders hate you?
by JH indo you have the impression that the elders never liked you, and were happy to see you leave, because they simply didn't like your way of thinking?
maybe if you came back, they would do everything to get you disfellowshipped again.

Former JW celebrating XMAS R so Happy
by JT ini could not look at all the photos of former jw and thier kids celebrating xmas and i couldn't help but think how happy they looked , mom, dad, the kids, just enjoying having a day off and being together-.
fast forward to 10am across the country in hall after hall a group of folks going out in service, unhappy, sad, and frustrated- kids damn sure don't want to be there as they knock on thier classmates doors dressed up like little salemen selling bible books -.
it is cold and windy and here they are letting the heat out of folks homes how crazy we must have looked walking around in the snow without any snowsledge or snowboard.

My hubby always makes sure I have extra presents and he is teaching me christmas traditions he did as a child, to teach our children. Occasionally he forgets I didn't have a normal upbringing. He is amazed at how much I wasn't allowed to do. Christmas for me is the best, now I am a kid when I get presents, I don't care if it came from the dollar store or not. It's the joy and love your kids give you when they hand you a present. the christmas cookies we make and decorate, the tree and the lights we put all over the house.

Kelsey,
There is good money in cleaning if you work hard and own your own service. I have cleaned a few houses on my own and made good money for what I was doing in the past. It is a cut throat business in my neck of the woods since we have a lot of older people who use cleaning services. You go to bid and then another company will come in with another bid a little lower and before you know it you are working for hardly anything. I am glad you are doing well with your business.

Did you raise your kids as witnesses?
by freedom96 inmy mom raised us as witnesses, and finally left the wts after we grew up and left the house.
my dad left after too.
now my mom is so sorry about it all, and how we had to live, with my father an elder, the strictness, and of course all the things that a good witness family could not do.. how many of you raised your kids as witnesses?

No way. My 2,4,6, and 9 year olds are free to explore their talents and dream. Growing up witness there would be things I would want to do and of course couldn't because it was worldly.

In the congregation I grew up in we had alot of Elders who owned their own businesses. One was a contractor who would hire brothers out of high school. One had a carpet store who hired pretty sisters. One had a cleaning company and quite a few lawn service companies. Nothing really big. I did notice that the ones who had these business missed more meetings than the brothers or sisters who worked for them. It was like they were special, because they were hiring the youth of the congregation and keeping them in line. Let's see mess up and get df and you also loose your job and since you have no skills your double screwed.

Morality Q. Would You Betray Diana For 10 M?
by Englishman injames hewitt has outraged public opinion by offering to sell princess diana's reputedly very sexy love letters that she once penned to him so ardently.
he wants a cool ten million pounds, that's about $16m.. oddly, in a sky news poll, the question "would you sell her love letters for 10 million pounds?
" has revealed that 48% of brits would do so if they had the opportunity.. the situation is further complicated by prince harry's extraordinary resemblence to hewitt, although hewitt denies that he is the lads real father.. my q is this: would you sell the letters for 10 million pounds if they were yours to sell?.

Should I go Decorate my old KH? GRIN>
by NaruNaruChan in.
so this morning at around 5am, my girlfriend and i were driving in north fresno and we noticed that there are two huge christmastree like trees in front of the hall, outside of the oh-so-welcoming gates... and so i got to thinking... and... hmm.... should i???
in the words of ts eliot, "do i dare disturb the universe?".

I bet they would cut those trees down so fast after they took down and burned those "satanic" decorations. Bet the witness kids would love it. "See Mommy the hall is decorated, why can't we?" Love to see the pictures.

How many times a day do U think about being ExJW?
by LyinEyes ini thought about this tonite, i was out on the town with my husband, trying to forget about the week i had of being sick.

I think about being an exJw at least three or four times a day. When I think of my Brother or father. Or when I see something about child abuse. When I see a witness girl at my son's school when I pick him up. Sometimes I get upset about the cruel treatment I have recieved by JW part of family. These days I tend to be more happy not to be involved with the Jw's and glad to have my freedom.
